Speaker 2 00:00:05 Yeah. Speaker 1 00:00:06 Because it's, you're the normal. Yeah, yeah. All these first-time parents. Speaker 2 00:00:10 Yeah. Speaker 1 00:00:10 Like, there's somebody who's been around. There's two, three. Kids don't understand. Speaker 3 00:00:13 Yeah, no, for real. They don't. And they also don't understand, like, a lot of the stuff that we talk about. We don't have to. 380. Yeah. We don't have to. We could say show up here, whatever. Speaker 4 00:00:28 Now I gotta shut up. Speaker 5 00:00:36 This team has won a lot of games. So this is the only team that we're actually, so they're 2016. Speaker 1 00:00:42 Yeah, but they're flight two. I know, but the ranking is up. This is the only team that we're actually winning. Oh, really? Yeah, on the ranking. Speaker 5 00:00:52 Interesting. Yeah, we're good. No, we're good. Thank you very much. Thank you. Speaker 6 00:01:06 We have to push up as a team. Hey, start knocking the ball around. Am I far enough? Yeah, you're good. I'm just going to use the restroom. Yes, of course. Go ahead. Do we have 11 balls in the bag? Okay. Let's start there. Make sure. So, Matthew, I need to hear you from the bench. You control my back line. Get out. Speaker 1 00:01:59 Hey, the team gets an extra point if there's a shutout. Serious, in the tournament, it's all points. So if you guys get a shutout, you get one extra point. Speaker 7 00:02:14 How are you? Good. You got this, right? You got this? Yeah, so the other two teams, they're pretty good. Speaker 1 00:02:23 Supposedly, this team, this is a 2016 team. Yeah, that's what I saw. So in my little rankings app, this is the only one that we win. But I don't feel like. Speaker 7 00:02:31 Oh, we would play against them. Speaker 1 00:02:32 No, but I've got an app that has an algorithm that compares all the teams to a particular standard. Okay, okay. And so I feel like we're undervalued in that app because we've had a recent string of success, and we've picked up some players. But according to that app, this is the only team we beat. Oh, okay. What I'm saying is I'm feeling pretty good about this team. if we show up yeah and then we'll see you on the other what kind of ad it is it's called soccer. Speaker 7 00:03:07 rankings i love it um so he compares the both team and they see how what's gonna be what's the. Speaker 1 00:03:14 possibility yeah so that's pretty cool um so like this one is 2016 city sc don't know which one. Speaker 1 00:04:01 So then I hit, so it says, oh, here's where they are nationally, here's where they're in. Oh, okay, okay. Right? And then you hit predict results. And so it set her back, just hit one. Up front. We'll bow to you and put it over the goal. So then all of my safe teams that I watch. Oh. Oh, I lied. We lost this one. Four to one. That's a prediction, though, right? Speaker 1 00:04:32 That's a prediction. So we have a 20% chance of winning. But again, we're undervalued at this point. Yeah, yeah. They didn't do it. I want to line better with the shot that makes me feel good. Speaker 7 00:04:46 All right, I'm going to go hit my entity. I'm going to be a ball boy. You do your thing. Speaker 4 00:05:37 All right, get it back. Speaker 4 00:06:11 Hello, how are you? What's up? Oh, shit. Nice. Speaker 4 00:06:47 You know what? All right. All right, man. Wake up. Speaker 1 00:07:30 Hey, um, we're trying to figure out what to get Ben for Christmas, and we're kind of having a hard time with that. I was wondering if you could kind of give, ask some probing questions today. Speaker 2 00:07:49 Another what. Speaker 1 00:07:55 The one that, the one that what? Like the small puggles or the oh. Okay, okay. Okay, all right. Speaker 1 00:08:26 Cool, thank you All right, dude All right, are you guys what do you what are you working on right now? Okay, Let's make sure we do the chores today too. Yeah, All right, cool. Thanks. Speaker 4 00:09:54 Look at your body, corner, what? Speaker 4 00:10:53 What's behind you, there you go, Norm. Good night. Go! Go! Speaker 4 00:11:36 Go! Go! Go! Go! Don't touch it! Speaker 4 00:12:33 Shoot! Go! Go Harper! Get in there, Seth. Number one, Seth. Speaker 4 00:13:06 Number two. Cover. Go Ellie! Touch it. Now. Pass her! Go! Speaker 4 00:13:43 Come on. Throw it. Turn it off. Hey we need some support girls! It's just Jay! Alright let's go. You got it buddy? Yeah. Go! I don't know why, why, no! Oh! Speaker 4 00:14:15 How'd you mess that? I think this is why. Stop killing people. Speaker 4 00:14:45 Stop. Speaker 5 00:15:34 come on and support him guys keep going. Speaker 4 00:16:16 Go, go. Speaker 4 00:17:13 Oh. Speaker 1 00:17:54 Nice Damien. Speaker 4 00:18:24 How much? Speaker 4 00:19:08 Come on, girl. Go get you. Now. Go, go. Speaker 4 00:21:04 Two, two. Speaker 4 00:21:40 Take it home, take it home. Hold each other. Isabella, Russ, more, on their side. Keep them here. Keep them on their side. Come on, Cal, come on. Just to take it home. Go, go. Just go. Good job. Speaker 4 00:22:16 Yeah. Russ, get it, get it. Get them. Speaker 5 00:22:36 Hey, bring that down, dude. Why do you let it out. Speaker 4 00:22:43 You don't talk! Speaker 4 00:23:26 Let's go! Come on buddy, you got it! Get it, get it! Speaker 4 00:24:03 Blue ball, blue ball, he's done! Speaker 4 00:25:08 Yeah, don't let him. Asher! Let's play hard, okay? Yeah, play brave! Play, play! Let's go! Liam, go get them! Go. Speaker 1 00:25:34 It's Asher and Liam not making it today. No! She's watching the other boys and getting ready for Christmas. I need somebody to do that. Yeah, she's going out of town on Tuesday. So it's kind of like a used weekend to get ready for all that. You don't have to have the whole family back. Right. Yeah, well, yeah, I mean, the sun's there. Speaker 1 00:26:09 Yeah, I know. Usually I just, you know, just take my... No. Yeah. Yeah, it depends on where you're going, what the field is and stuff. Speaker 4 00:26:40 Go, go. Speaker 1 00:28:32 I want to say it's water break. Speaker 7 00:29:04 It's a tough game. It's a tough game. They're pretty fast. Speaker 1 00:29:10 I feel like they're doing it to ourselves. Speaker 7 00:29:17 There's nothing you could have done about that goal right there. I didn't see the last one. How did it go in? He just shot it and went over it. It went over Elijah's head. Speaker 1 00:29:26 As soon as he shot it, it was like, no chance. You know, perfect shot. Speaker 7 00:29:30 I wasn't returning after we put the ball back. So, the first two goals were errors. We let them. Speaker 2 00:29:42 We just have to come back, I mean, in the second half. Speaker 1 00:30:16 it's hotter over here then yeah you know what i looked at the uh weather out here oh i'm not wearing shorts you know and now i'm regretting that decision i told myself i'd bring shorts. Speaker 7 00:30:28 just in case but i forgot for the second game it's gonna be hotter for sure oh yeah. Speaker 7 00:30:59 how's your week how was your week uh it was easy after like thanksgiving it's really busy. not just the work but uh like i don't know we were like so because um a week before we had a vacation, right so kids were out of school for two weeks okay and then like after thanksgiving we were announcing kids and i were ready to go back and then like there are like so many like like you. Speaker 7 00:31:30 know houseworks that we have to catch up and yeah i mean because we invited like our family over during the thanksgiving so there were like dishes and i couldn't do the laundry and all that so like, this whole week was like i tried to catch up on all that right and at the same time the work too i mean like you know the christmas break is coming up so like all the works are like packed so. Speaker 7 00:32:05 hopefully we can light it how about you how was the week. Speaker 1 00:32:11 It's nice, you know, things for me at work are kind of like starting to line up, so I don't have to be as hands-on, so I'm able to kind of sit back and look around and kind of see, okay, what's the next direction. It's been kind of nice. Speaker 7 00:32:40 Have you met the new coach. Speaker 1 00:32:43 I saw him at the practice, so I didn't meet him yet. Speaker 7 00:32:48 I mean, Elijah wasn't there at the practice on Tuesday, so we didn't get to introduce ourselves. Yeah, and Thursday, I don't think he was there. That's one thing, from a soccer perspective, we were crazy. Speaker 1 00:33:05 I was getting home at like 9.30 every night. Speaker 7 00:33:10 And because your older kids have practiced too, right? Right. What teams are they in, again? So my... Speaker 1 00:33:18 Matty's a 15, and I've got a 13 that's on Striders of the North. But they practice from... Speaker 7 00:33:25 Is he the one with the other coach? The one who stuck with him? Yeah, yeah. Speaker 1 00:33:29 So, but they practice from like 7 to 9 at El Dorado on Tuesdays. Two hours? Yeah. Um... And then... And then my oldest... He's an 11. But for his team, half of his team is in high school, right? So they have to stop playing for high school. And so what they do is all the... They have three 2011 teams. And so they kind of did this combined practice for all the kids that are still in middle school. Speaker 7 00:34:02 Okay. Speaker 1 00:34:02 But the only time they could schedule it was 7 30. You know? And he's Strikers Orange, so I gotta go down to Orange for that. Um, and so that's why I'm getting home at like 9.30, you know, and it's not really 9, it's 9.45, you know, and it's like, of course, you know, I get home and it's like, hey dad, I don't understand my math and I waited for you. And it's like, that's like one other, like 30 minutes. It was helping him an hour and 15. Yeah. Cause I went to bed at 11, you know, and I wake up at 4.45. Right. So it's like, oh man, like, man, I gotta go to work. Speaker 7 00:34:41 So I can get some rest. I mean, kids are okay. I mean, at that age, they wake up at like what? Their school starts at 8.30. So they have more time. Yeah, 8.30. So I mean, but they're, so all three of them go to private school. Oh, they need to be taken. Okay. Okay. And which school? So, my older two go to fairmont private oh okay is that one in the orange orange uh orange or there. Speaker 1 00:35:07 is one in orange but they go to the one on la palma okay and then matthew goes to a school in orange an apprentice and uh because they're maddie has dyslexia and adhd and those two combined make. Speaker 7 00:35:23 class work very difficult okay okay so he goes i didn't realize i mean no not at all i mean really. Speaker 1 00:35:31 yeah so the adhd thing like you know is he's it's more it's actually why he does so well here because you can kind of see the play happening you know um so he gets that from me and then he gets the dyslexia from actually ann but he's actually on a pill oh okay and so if he wasn't on a pill. You know, I never realized. No, no. That surprised me. And so we found out, he was at Fairmont, and his teacher said, hey, my son, sent us an. Speaker 1 00:36:12 email, like on a private email, said my son has dyslexia and ADHD, and I see some similarities between them. So we got him checked out, and then when we put him in the school, they specialize with kids that have learning disabilities to teach them how to learn, kind of in this world, to strip out all the electives, and so he's been doing really well once we sent him there. Speaker 7 00:36:45 And do you believe that, like a soccer or any other sports help him? Oh, yeah. To focus in? So... Speaker 1 00:36:52 Oh, stop! You know, one thing that's been really well substantiated and proven is how well balance does for people with ADHD. So, like, I forget what that term is, but there's a separator in your brain. They said that, you know, they find that the thicker it is, the more it actually helps, you know, and what makes it thicker is balance. Speaker 1 00:37:26 But, you know, what's funny is they found, they're finding actually more and more. If you were to look at it, like, you know, ADHD has always been around. It sends itself out in different ways. Speaker 7 00:37:41 Or when people were really noticed, I mean, because when I was little, you know, I was, I was. always, like, everywhere, too. But, like, you know, kids were like that when my age. Like, especially boys, they're, like, they're interested in so many different things. And then you were there one time, and all of a sudden you're over there. I was like that, too. I mean, but I was like... Speaker 1 00:38:06 So, and that's what everybody looks at it. They even say that it's named inappropriately because it's not really attention deficit. Because everybody has, everybody loses focus, right. Speaker 7 00:38:21 Especially at a young age. Speaker 1 00:38:22 The difference is people with ADHD have a harder time bringing it back, right? So, for instance, if you're sitting there studying, right? You hear a sound, you know. Everybody's going to... Speaker 7 00:38:43 Handball. Handball? Okay, pass back to the goalie, goalie grabs it. Okay, so it's indirect. Speaker 1 00:38:49 So, you're going to hear a sound, you're going to go back to your work, right? Whereas some of the ADAT will have a very hard time not going, what was that? You know. Speaker 7 00:39:01 So, they can't let go of the other thing. Speaker 1 00:39:06 Yeah, so they said the best way to define ADAT, really, is the inability to regulate what is going on. Speaker 7 00:39:23 Come on, make it good. Justice for Nia. He's got to wait for the wrap, though. That's the problem. Just kick it hard. And then it's going to hit the other player and they go in. Speaker 8 00:39:47 Yeah, yeah, just kick it straight. Kick it to the goal. Speaker 4 00:39:53 Okay. Nice, boys. Speaker 7 00:40:02 Let's get another, boys. I'm going to get back to the ball, boys. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:40:28 Hey, Matthew, Matty, no diving in, okay? It's too big one. Don't dive in. Speaker 9 00:40:54 You got this. Speaker 1 00:41:43 Run through it! Run through it! Run through it. Speaker 4 00:43:13 Keep it going, boys. Speaker 1 00:43:23 Liam, do I get a hat trick or what? Let's do it. Speaker 4 00:44:12 I got it! Speaker 4 00:44:48 Come on, come on, rest. Well done, Damien. Speaker 5 00:45:04 Keep going. Speaker 4 00:45:54 Yes, Amy. Again, 10-1. Speaker 1 00:47:35 Keep going, keep going, hit it, hit it, there you go, good job dude, keep it up, keep it up. You got them all day long, all day long. Keep it up Damien, you got this. Speaker 4 00:47:57 Yeah. Go, go. Speaker 4 00:49:46 Keep playing! Speaker 4 00:50:22 Keep them up, guys, keep them up, keep them up, keep them them up, keep them up, keep them up, keep them up, keep them up, keep them up, keep them up, keep them up, keep them up, keep them up, Speaker 4 00:51:32 You ready Maddie. Speaker 1 00:52:52 Hey, you get that, put it to the back post, yeah? You see like a good bounce or a good roll? Back post. Speaker 4 00:53:33 Good job, my baby, good job. You're doing good. It's coming. Attention, attention. That was that, that was that. Hey, open a little. Step, Jack. Step. Watch out. Shoot. Speaker 4 00:54:09 Fire, fire. Watch your line, hit him, go. Speaker 4 00:55:17 What's up, Eddie? It's off. Speaker 1 00:55:42 Keep going, John. Time, time, time. Take your time, Asher. Speaker 1 00:56:17 Run through it. Run through it. Don't stop. Don't stop. Run through it. There you go. Speaker 5 00:56:35 Stand him up, Matty. Matty, stop jumping in like that. He's getting past you every time. Speaker 4 00:57:23 Yeah, I'm higher. Come on. Hit it. Speaker 1 00:58:23 Hey, hey, Matty, Matthew, if you get the ball dribble straight that way, yeah. Speaker 5 00:59:43 Keep going! Keep going! Stay with him! Stay with him. Speaker 4 01:00:04 One more! One more. Speaker 5 01:00:16 Your time! Take your time, Matty. Speaker 4 01:00:32 You first, there it is, hey, pull a trap, great ball Maddy, tell him to call for it. Speaker 4 01:01:25 Go, go. Speaker 1 01:02:24 Yeah, like I said, the first half was them allowing things to happen, you know, and that's honestly. It's not against me. I'm just gonna go help with the trace. Speaker 9 01:02:50 Can you get the kids over here? You failed me. I wanted three You can't do anything about it. Speaker 4 01:03:04 You can't do anything. How do we feel about our second half. Speaker 6 01:03:29 Oh, my God. We did. What about our second half, though? I don't know why it took us so long to reach that. We gave it. You guys have to understand. You know the feeling we just had in the second half? That's when it started happening, okay? I understand parking was weird, all this stuff, right? We gave away three silly goals, right? You made it really hard for us. Speaker 6 01:03:59 If we had just defended like we did in the second half. Speaker 4 01:04:02 Shutting down recording and powering off. Please wait. This may take a minute. 380 minutes of recording time available. Speaker 6 01:04:09 Awesome. Thank you. Speaker 2 01:04:11 Are you guys hanging out of the field. Speaker 8 01:04:14 I haven't looked up yet. Is it this field or is it? No, it's this one. And tomorrow we're back here. Okay. Speaker 6 01:04:27 That's what's separating you from, it's not you, it's what's between you. Once we finally started playing the ball wide, we had opportunities, right? Once we finally started working on finding switches, we had opportunities. Second game has to be good. But I'm very proud of the second game, first half of the season. Speaker 4 01:04:55 Don't be proud of the first half, be proud of the second game. What did you see that we need to start doing. Speaker 6 01:05:09 All right, let's go. Hey, don't eat anything heavy. Water, hydrate, get mentally prepared. We got more games. I feel like you set us up for failure. Speaker 1 01:05:54 I packed it up and started walking off of it and it's like, you could hold it if you want. If you want me to, I will. Speaker 5 01:06:23 Got to figure it out now. Because I don't know if we should leave. Well, it feels funny though. I haven't looked it up yet. Speaker 6 01:06:34 But like, get some food. We're probably in the right spot. Getting back in was a nightmare. I'm not leaving. But we're going to get some. Matthew, play ball. I'm going to smash it. Speaker 1 01:06:57 What's your answer? Quit freaking diving in. If you're going to dive in, take his leg down. Get a yellow. Four. Did you count really? I believe it. Look, I don't count many things. That's a cardinal sin. That's a big people's mind anyway. How do you know. Speaker 5 01:07:23 It's not just this, okay, and this is not me in the front. Me in the front and back. Just take your position. Yeah, it's not me. Yeah, yeah. Right? But fire's up. Speaker 10 01:07:39 Yeah. Speaker 5 01:07:40 You know? Like, he applies the pressure that everybody needs in order to create this. Speaker 1 01:07:44 He does. And it's like, when he's in front, when he starts using back, it's like rain of terror because he holds back. Speaker 6 01:07:55 But our job is to teach him to stop doing that as we try to teach him to work through that, right? It's like, come on. Speaker 1 01:08:01 Don't give me this, like, long-term strategy. Stop. I'm telling you. I'm messing with you, man. It's the truth. I know. That's why I'm sarcastically deflecting. And I want Asher to be more explosive-wide. He doesn't have the time for that. Die. Yeah. You can't teach that, I know. You need to wake up, okay? He literally fell asleep five minutes before we got here. Speaker 1 01:08:35 Alright guys, let's grab my chair. What are we eating. Speaker 6 01:08:39 Let's eat. Speaker 1 01:08:39 Let's eat Greece, Chinese, right. Speaker 6 01:08:43 Teppan. There you go. Is there a teppan here? I want to grab my chair real quick. Speaker 3 01:08:55 What time is it. Speaker 9 01:08:58 It's 1130? It's 1127. Do you have a horse? Ma'am, ma'am, ma'am. Speaker 6 01:09:08 Done. Speaker 11 01:09:19 Who's up for Japanese food. Speaker 1 01:09:21 It was a joke. Uh, what I was trying to, coaches hate it when parents, when parents give, uh, hey, listen, listen, coaches hate it when parents give, uh, the kids, like, really oily and fatty foods, so I joke with them. Speaker 11 01:09:40 My dad won't stop talking about that. Speaker 6 01:09:43 So then what you guys end up doing is you come. Speaker 11 01:09:45 In rec, I'll say, like, in rec, I wouldn't stop saying that my stomach was hurting, and then my dad said, well, what did you eat before? And I said, oh, um, I had some bread and butter, a piece of tortilla, and then my dad's all, that's junk food and I go, that's me, I won't, that's me. Speaker 6 01:10:03 He's right. It affects your performance. Speaker 1 01:10:05 You know, if you're going to listen to anybody about sports, it might be the guy that got paid to play sports, you know, or the guy that gets paid to coach sports. Speaker 6 01:10:14 Yeah, I agree with that. Your dad knows a lot. Especially at basketball. And your dad knows enough to let me coach you in soccer? Yeah. Speaker 11 01:10:21 The one time my dad... Speaker 6 01:10:23 How about that. Speaker 11 01:10:23 The one time my dad coached me in basketball, we went undefeated and won the championship. I believe that. Speaker 6 01:10:31 But he knows what he knows and he knows what he doesn't. So he says, look it, I want Micah to play it for you. I want you to work on his footwork, his touches, his technical ability. Right? And that's why I'm on you all the time. Your first touch has gotten better. Yeah. It's not where I need it. Speaker 11 01:10:47 I could tell. Speaker 6 01:10:48 But it's gotten better. Speaker 11 01:10:49 At first, when I joined this team, my first touch, I had way too many touches. I agree. You just want to sit down. Now it's getting better. Stop it and then it would go that way. Speaker 1 01:11:03 So, what is it? 3 o'clock next game. Speaker 5 01:11:09 I'm looking. 1.50? Yeah, we have an hour. A little over an hour. Speaker 6 01:11:20 Much better second half, though, boys. That team wasn't bad. Speaker 1 01:11:24 They threw balls, right, and long shots. The first two goals were... Third goal, you couldn't do anything about it. Speaker 6 01:11:36 But that's why that substitution happened when it did. Because I'm like, yeah, this is not... I almost... I did. I did. I got them up, and I said, okay, it's time. They're not awake yet. But... Speaker 4 01:12:02 So... Speaker 1 01:12:04 No, I knew exactly why you did it. I knew exactly why you did it. Speaker 6 01:12:12 And I say, well, I prefer the stronger second half anyway, if I can. to end the game. Dude, he looked good. Speaker 1 01:12:20 He did. He looked good with the reaches and pull back the arm, seeing the lines. He looked good. He's going to work out. That's the last thing. Speaker 6 01:12:30 If he can get those dialed in, he's got potential. But let's be honest. Whoever's the best at U11 is not going to be the best at U16. No, I don't think so. Speaker 1 01:12:44 The hardest thing about these things is coming off . That's the hardest thing. At least we . . . Speaker 6 01:13:01 No, we're good. She's trying to find the card. At least we snapped out of, like, guys. Coach just kind of chuckled at her through the ball. And I said, hey, they're laughing at you. Like, wake up. I'm like, don't. play some pride and then all of a sudden it was ugly it was sloppy but at least we were not you, still need to trade it with somebody um you still need to and i'm telling them look attack space i. Speaker 6 01:13:33 love stop dribbling towards the line my my right and left back go straight at them make sure you still have a center central option as well they're all shifting use your center mid or center back at that point pivot and let's play out the other side it's simple very simple yeah very simple and then they started doing it but they have to move for the ball all right so then matthew would play the pass to the right spot and they would win it because they're not stepping to the ball right so let's go figure it out we're just let's go back towards the white thing. Speaker 1 01:14:07 let's take these kids for some scrub or is there grub that way too. Speaker 3 01:14:15 I don't know. Over here? Well, let's look here. Let's go there. I know there's something in that tent. I just don't know what it is. Speaker 1 01:14:23 I don't mind being adventurous. She won't go that way. We're going that way. Speaker 1 01:15:03 By the way, I looked back up at Dean, like right before the game started. And I was like, no, I got that one wrong. It slipped. We were supposed to do it. I was telling her before the game that this was the only team we were supposed to beat, according to my little writing test. No, wait, this is our test now. How did the other ones go? How did we get in? Same scores. Oh, really? Three ones, four ones, something like that. But we're not the same team as the app thinks we are. Speaker 12 01:15:36 Yeah, I got some votes here. I didn't get to read the full message, but I'm really happy you guys coached me. It was good. What's funny is I read it out. Speaker 1 01:15:52 I didn't tell them to do that, by the way. No, no. I saw the message. I'm like, who's Ian? And then I was like, oh, that's right. That's right. No, good on him for that. I think, honestly, it's like when I tell a lot of it, younger coaches like you have to realize you're coaching with parents yep you know if you're not controlling the message the message will control you. Speaker 12 01:16:19 so i'm not going to leave them too i'm going to do a lot like i did with, i'll be there as a reporter see what happens when you're adventurous. Speaker 3 01:17:09 like. Speaker 9 01:17:14 Oh, it's like, yeah, the 20s are on the other side of the track. Oh, 20s across the way? It's on the opposite end. Is it still on this side? So we park essentially, so if that's the racetrack, it's to the right, right. Speaker 1 01:17:36 On the right end of the racetrack, 20s on the left end of the racetrack. Speaker 6 01:17:41 But on the interior or exterior? Interior. Okay, so we've got to go through the tunnel. Speaker 12 01:17:46 There, and here, where we were here. So where I parked, babe, is through that tunnel. It actually wasn't that bad to watch. Speaker 9 01:18:05 Yeah, it was, man. Speaker 6 01:18:50 There's your quesadilla there, Micah. Coach said you can have a quesadilla. Speaker 12 01:18:57 Yeah, it's a pregame meal of champions there. Speaker 1 01:19:11 What do you think? We might at some point. Do you think they serve them both? No matter what the line is. Speaker 13 01:19:23 I think we could go up in there. I'll go to Uber Eats. Can you imagine? You'd have to give, it'd be like a $100 service fee just to get it to you probably. Speaker 1 01:19:50 Drone food in. Sonia, at some point in time, far off. Speaker 5 01:20:04 Um, we'll return that line. Speaker 1 01:20:07 Oh, they're separate? Yeah, they're separate, yeah. Alright, we got like all the way here. Do you want me to go home in that one. Speaker 4 01:20:14 Yeah. Speaker 1 01:20:14 I got half of you. Speaker 1 01:21:12 So, Evan he's trying to give me money all the time too, so I don't know. Speaker 4 01:21:50 Yeah, they're separate. I know that part. Speaker 1 01:21:54 They made some announcement about pizza in this place. Yeah, it's on this, yeah, it's on this channel. Speaker 5 01:22:05 There's other people behind it. Speaker 1 01:22:09 And all, well, for... Speaker 1 01:22:56 I know. That's what she used to do with them. Say that I'm bigger than them. I'm bigger than you. Speaker 5 01:23:03 Okay, so I'm getting... Over here, I'm getting a proof pack. I'm going to buy you one anyway, if you don't want to. I didn't even know about you. Speaker 4 01:23:18 She's your best friend. And what do you want from that one? I don't know. Speaker 14 01:23:31 I want to go soccer for one reason. It's that those students get starships. Like, it's hard for people to get on starships. It's like, there's a bunch of people. You have to look everywhere. You go to school. Speaker 4 01:24:01 In the Navy? Like the high school. Speaker 14 01:24:35 I get free college and so do my brothers, like my friends, I get free college and so do my brothers, like my friends. Speaker 14 01:25:15 and so do my brothers, like my friends, I get free college and so do my brothers, like my friends, I, Or like the degrees that you had in high school. Nice all-time high school. Speaker 4 01:25:26 Oh, why aren't we. Speaker 11 01:25:33 I protected myself. It's trying to pinch us. Speaker 4 01:25:53 How's that. Speaker 8 01:26:03 Oh, yeah. Speaker 4 01:26:09 I'm telling you how to live. Speaker 14 01:26:23 While doing soccer, I'm going to try to D2 some time this summer, then after that, I'm going to try a professional team or below a professional team. It's okay. Showing up is the answer. After that, I'm going to try a professional team. We're already going to a professional team. Speaker 4 01:26:38 Well, it used to be, after years in professional soccer, I am going to retire a little bit and come back. So, I hit the ones that are close. In fact, they made my son drive me here today. I go, I'll drive over to your house and you can drive me there. Speaker 1 01:26:54 Yep. You save yourself 20 bucks. I do. Yep. Speaker 4 01:27:03 Okay. I'm getting excited. I don't know. I'm not sure. Okay. Speaker 14 01:27:21 Oh, my God. Speaker 4 01:27:32 Yeah. Do you have water? I'm sorry. Are you? Oh, no. Oh. Well, I went to the page lot. I have a ticket. Speaker 4 01:28:03 Oh, yeah. I have a dog. Oh, my gosh. I don't know. Speaker 4 01:28:34 I found it. Speaker 4 01:29:52 Yeah, she was saying that. Speaker 4 01:31:18 Thank you. Stop it! Read it. I can't. Speaker 14 01:32:55 What do you guys think. Speaker 4 01:33:43 You guys can leave all this from here in case you need it, but it's definitely worth it. Speaker 14 01:34:08 120 minutes. Speaker 4 01:34:19 Sorry. Speaker 14 01:34:59 What are you doing? I want to see you when he pulls me out. When he pulls me out, I'm just gonna kick out. I didn't do this in the middle of the game. I put my shirt in the middle of the game. Speaker 14 01:35:31 Why not? I got hurt. Well, that was a... I actually like this outfit very much. Let me see if I can put it on. I couldn't pass the pinion because I wasn't about to take a shower. I couldn't take it off. And I was already, like, raping myself. You're strong. Speaker 14 01:37:13 It's actually good then. I went to Idaho for three weeks, uh, it's just, he's saying like, why do you need to. Speaker 14 01:37:54 go here if you don't even know where you're going to come from? It's not bad because the bus job is limited. Yeah, I would go with him. I think I'm going to have to take the bus. My dad told me to take the bus this year, and he made me take the bus, and I'm like, you have to take the bus. I had it last year. I'm going on the bus. Speaker 14 01:38:26 Oh, I would have been pulling them back. Okay. We'll probably get her in the past. My dad bought her for free since she was a vet. We give you the options. So if you just say yes, and then you show up. Oh, thank you. Oh, it doesn't? Speaker 14 01:39:11 You can bring it. I can't go, right? You want me to help you paint? Are you tired? No, I'm not. Speaker 4 01:39:45 No, I'm fine. Wait, are you ready. Speaker 14 01:40:27 Oh, fruit cup! Thank you. Speaker 1 01:41:45 Today you're right, no acai. No acai, no pizza, pizza. Speaker 9 01:41:60 I'll take one mango, strawberry vinaigrette, strawberry vinaigrette. Okay, and then, did you want those smaller ones? Right, you're messing everything up. Um... A dollar could be different. Speaker 1 01:42:12 No, it's more because they've got smaller kids. Oh. Give me. Three large. Alright, so I have, uh, how many of the strawberry bananas? Uh, two. Speaker 14 01:42:38 That's how today should we call your name? Brayden. Alright, say no, buddy. Speaker 3 01:43:03 Thank you. Did you finally get your bowls ordered. Speaker 1 01:43:24 Two people in front of me, they ran out of bowls. There you go. Speaker 6 01:43:30 Still a good choice. Speaker 1 01:43:31 Yeah. No, it's like, but it's like large or small. I'm going to get this wrong. All of them are large, so that way whatever one of them doesn't like, I'm good. Speaker 6 01:43:42 So I think JP is going through some nostalgia. You want to see the picture he just sent me? He's in Lebanon. Look what he just texted me. Speaker 13 01:43:57 22, December. All right. It only stayed with it originally, that team was Michael Graves, Jack was on that team, Speaker 13 01:44:44 a few others that followed, but the last man standing from that original team was Michael Graves. Well, kind of, but he wasn't here. Did you see what Charlie was eating. Speaker 6 01:45:05 I just looked into it and said, what are you doing? I forgot. What do you mean you forgot. Speaker 1 01:45:11 You forgot. I literally just told you, don't eat that stuff. I almost came up to him and asked him for a bite. It looked good. It did look good. It was actually kind of cool. Nixon was up there sitting by himself. So the boys went up there and saw him. Yeah, I looked at him all the way forward. Now there's five of them. They'll keep on growing. Speaker 3 01:45:37 Elijah and Helen and Asher all of them. Speaker 6 01:45:54 Amy was just telling me if we had it, if they just made a backflip, she wouldn't want it. We all of a sudden started creating chances. So I played with pride guys. They kind of poked fun at one through ball. So I let them know the coaches were laughing at me. They go, no, you're not. I'm like, yeah, you chuckled a little. But I want them to play with that load of fire, like, yeah. Yeah. Don't let them embarrass us. And we're going down that rabbit hole of that being a six-miller match. Speaker 6 01:46:29 No, I ain't. So I would have preferred to at least draw. I would have loved to win, but let's be honest. I'm happy with that result. No, I was happy. Yeah. Speaker 13 01:46:43 Now if they come out swinging, we've got a shot. This team is beautiful. Oh, yeah. Speaker 1 01:46:52 I mean, like, 2-0 in the second half. I mean, it should have been. They should have had just that one goal. That one goal. Speaker 13 01:47:01 We should have been glad that they converted. We had just worked on that seven. Speaker 6 01:47:15 I have no idea why you insist on trying to play it forward because they have no discipline. Just play around it. This is literally the easiest. Don't stand and get too tight. Or hit it as hard as you can right at them and hope something goes through. Because they'll go, but coach, two players have to touch it. And I go, yes, that's your second player. Just blast it out. Speaker 1 01:47:45 And not many players have the wherewithal and confidence to actually step aside and let it go. Speaker 6 01:47:59 And if they do, I applaud it and I say, well, coach. But at this age. Speaker 5 01:48:33 If they down these, I'll be impressed with them. Speaker 3 01:48:39 Alright guys. Speaker 9 01:48:53 They ran out like two people in front of me. Speaker 1 01:48:59 So I got strawberry banana and mango. Speaker 11 01:49:02 Hi! Strawberry banana. Which one's mango? Strawberry banana. Mango? I'm helping Micah make a house. You got it? I'm helping Micah make a house. You're welcome. Look it. Jab your straw right there. I'm not even breaking my straw. Here. Hold on. Speaker 14 01:49:22 Put your house. Yeah. Is it okay if I squeeze in here? No. Speaker 11 01:49:30 better than bacon. Can you open it? I think I opened it wrong. Why? No, you're right. You're good. Do you guys not know how to do this? These guys are really good at this. Is it? I'm making, I'm helping Micah pick a house. Yeah, look at it. Isn't that where it is? Look at it, this is mine and Micah's house. Speaker 1 01:50:04 Here, just pick it up and give it to me. I'll take it. Hey Micah, where's yours? Okay, Micah. No, where's your, where's your trash? I gave it to you. Oh, wait, that was just me. Wait, where's me? Oh, you don't have justice. Justice, do you have trash? No. Speaker 3 01:50:34 Not off. Speaker 4 01:50:45 Yes! We're trying to make a barrier. Speaker 9 01:51:04 Hey, I'm at the restroom, right? What? I'm at the restroom, okay. Speaker 1 01:51:09 Where'd you get the parking? I wanna say it was like... Mine and yours. I don't know, man. Over there? I'm turning around now. Yeah, dude, our, like, to the field is like the furthest possible parking spot in Europe. Speaker 8 01:51:21 No, I mean, I'm happy that we get to park right that way. I'm thinking of doing the same. Like, we really can't park any further. But the only thing is, like, I don't know if anybody's sleeping right now. Speaker 1 01:51:35 he's terrible we usually come here i've never played on this site before usually when we come. Speaker 8 01:51:44 here you come in like one of those first two or three zero i think this is rough. why'd you make the barrier bigger yeah so i haven't disturbed you get up and drive because after the game then you gotta hike all the way back here right at the end of the one-way line. Speaker 1 01:52:07 to get out right and we're on the opposite yeah you guys staying tonight or are you guys. Speaker 8 01:52:31 actually. Speaker 1 01:52:34 So Micah is usually, Micah, Micah's older brother is on, we usually, I'd say 50% of the time we end up with one of them, you know, which is fine, it's helpful, it keeps him company, especially like on the other team, his brother's an older too, so it's like, yeah, I'll take him, you know, yeah, he actually, Micah's older. Speaker 8 01:53:21 It's always rough too, like, you know, and I'm like, funny story, you know. He does, he does need to wake up. So, I met Jesse, what's your story, you know. Speaker 1 01:53:46 He's like, well I used to be a coach, I really didn't think that, I signed my kid up for rec. Some guy was taking me, you know, some guy was like coaching, and they asked for an assistant coach, and I'm like, yeah, sure, I'll help. And then eventually the guy's like, you're better than me, so here you go, right? And like, so he ends up, you know, taking this team, Speaker 1 01:54:16 what do I do then? So, fast forward, you know, to Jesse's sub-coaching for, you know, my sister's sitting there, we're chatting after the game, and we're walking. And our goalie's dad comes up to him, you know, Mike is dad, right? Ends up coming up. Hey, Jesse, how's it going? Jesse turns to me and he's like, isn't that a story I told you about that guy that like dumped his team up on me? And I'm like, yeah, you know, Speaker 1 01:54:48 and he's like, this is the guy. Speaker 4 01:54:52 Mike, that's our dog. Speaker 8 01:54:56 Right, right. So, how do you have time for anything? How do you have time for anything? You, what, so, you actually just play so fast. Speaker 2 01:55:11 that you're doing things constantly. Speaker 8 01:55:17 You've always got this, hey, I'm working on something. Speaker 1 01:55:25 and then you're like, so, you're working on something. Speaker 8 01:55:30 Yeah, the wife, home, school, public, work. Oh my god, he's got a whole class full. Speaker 1 01:55:36 They're trying to like fit everything. Both of that and other stuff. Other than sports. Speaker 2 01:55:48 So I've always had that. A couple months ago I was, starting a new school. Speaker 1 01:55:59 This and this and this happened. We've already got 40 kids. We've got some investors lined up. Yeah bro. Speaker 4 01:56:09 Oh man. Thank you very much. We have an older dog. Thank you. Speaker 1 01:56:49 So they're all two years apart, so Maddie's my youngest, and I've got six, and my entire family. On my side of the family. And children. Speaker 2 01:57:19 Wow! So, I'm in the moment. Speaker 8 01:57:28 She's a girl. So, I mean, it's different for that one. Speaker 1 01:57:38 Thank you. you know just crashing the wall and they're like we don't turn around like they're like again you know, yeah it was like this yeah you know that's crazy it's like my dad. Speaker 1 01:58:11 it's generous it's funny to talk to my friends yeah. Speaker 8 01:59:35 I swear I've flipped with all girls, but yeah, when you have boys around me. Speaker 1 01:59:44 I was telling the boys, yeah, you know, I've been always trying to get your mom, like, you know, to get the shirt on. I said, sit every time. Sometimes I'll tell her, like, hey, spread your legs so I can, and she won't do it. And Maddie looks at me and is like, me and Ben do that all the time. I'm like, what? I don't even want to know. Speaker 4 02:00:04 It's like, I'm kidding. Can't imagine having two different, like, very girls. Speaker 1 02:00:23 Nope. It's also, I mean, there's like the, what are they intrinsically, right? Like, you know, the boys are going to throw something through a window and all the boys are going to go, hey, hey. There's that huddle of wires, and then there's the how they're trained, you know. Yesterday, I came out of my room, and I hear this, you know, trying to get Maddie to tap out, you know, Speaker 1 02:00:58 except Maddie doesn't know what tapping out is. I was like, tap what? But at the same time, he won't give up. Yeah, you know. That's awesome. You know, but then they'll go to somebody else's house and try that stuff. Hey, we don't do that here. You're not going to give me my bag? Whatever, it's a bag. It's got a chair in it. Speaker 1 02:01:32 Thanks, dude. Speaker 9 02:01:40 How you doing dude? What? You good? Yeah? I need to change. Speaker 1 02:01:49 Change into what? Oh, the next uh... Yeah. Hey Maddy, change into black. Speaker 9 02:01:58 You can do it right there. Just set it, just set your step down and put it on the black. You're a man. Absolutely. Hey. Speaker 1 02:02:18 So, when I went to go ask them what they wanted. Yeah. I go, just like I don't want anything. I got packed up. Lunch. So I show up and I say, here's what I have. I'll take whatever you guys don't want. And Jess is like, oh, I could try whatever you guys want. And I'm like, yeah. Maddie's like, can you hold this for a second for me, Dad? Yep, absolutely. Get it now. He's funny. Speaker 6 02:02:56 Justice, look at your bag. Oh. Look at it. So when you lean down, it gets your jersey? Here. Speaker 14 02:03:06 So we'll do this. Speaker 11 02:03:11 Wait, what happened? Justice. It happened to the best of us. Yeah, but you sold. You wasn't using it. You don't use your brain. Speaker 4 02:03:27 You do? Don't lean. All right. Get it now. Speaker 11 02:03:36 I don't see those around the water. You mean you don't know them? No, there's no water. You know where Edgestone is. Speaker 1 02:03:55 Home. She's got to go on a work trip next week. What does she do? Nothing. It's kind of weird for her right now. She works for a boring company. Speaker 3 02:04:12 Okay. Speaker 1 02:04:14 But they don't have a California presence. Speaker 3 02:04:18 Oh, I see. Speaker 1 02:04:20 I should say west. Technically, she's like the southwest. Speaker 3 02:04:23 Okay. Speaker 1 02:04:24 And they're like, They were taken over by an investment firm that decided that they were going to buy a company and grow everything. And then that didn't work. They bought the company, but it just didn't, like, it couldn't figure out how to make it. It couldn't figure out how to sell it into California because of all the regs and stuff like that. They bought another company. So now she's finally at a point where it's like, oh, I can sell this. Speaker 8 02:04:56 Yeah, but isn't yours okay. Speaker 1 02:04:58 For the last year and a half, she's like, I don't want it. But she's paid for it, right? Like, you know, but she's constantly like, don't forget about me. Don't think that I'm... So she's supposed to do sales, but it's kind of like, I mean, she's in sales. She's like, yeah, but I can't call my people, you know, because... Speaker 1 02:05:29 Then they're going to want to buy. And then if they buy, I'm going to go, and then, you know. So it's been like this weird she's been trying to set up distributors and systems and stuff like that so that when they're ready to hit, she's ready to go. Yeah, well, it's like, what you really want to do is tie in to the, you know, you want to tie in to. where everybody goes to buy their stuff. Right? You want to be on the shelf. Speaker 1 02:05:60 Right? And so you want to be able to tie in to those so when you go to your epoxy place, they go, oh no, you want this guy's stuff, right? Or, Ashley's stuff. And so, she's been trying to set up relationships with all of those, you know. It's been difficult because they sell into the residential market and the commercial market, and they're like, well... Why can't we sell it at the commercial market and just market up? Speaker 1 02:06:32 We got into them. Everybody was just, right? Why the residential stuff? You have to change the brand. Use the same product, but change the brand. And, you know, and then they want to go direct. They want to go direct, which means that they'll be competing also with distributors. So how do you... She's been trying to solve a lot of those problems for them. Like, hey, guys, you don't want to do this. No, yeah, we do. No, you don't. Yeah, we do. And then the CEO comes in. Speaker 14 02:07:02 I need to use the bathroom. Speaker 1 02:07:03 Okay. Yeah, for the body research. Or those ones over there. Which one? Um, so and then it's like, why do you think you guys think that Ashland's idea is not good? You know. Well, you know, if you think it's a good box, you know, it's like, well, it makes sense. Yeah. Speaker 13 02:07:30 It's got to be an option to be bad. You need to be shoulder up so you can study more. Speaker 4 02:07:41 Yeah, but if I want to, I've had bags that don't stop me. Speaker 11 02:08:09 It's going to be a leg tunnel and he's got it. Speaker 13 02:08:18 Ready. Speaker 14 02:08:18 Another tunnel. You can tell me. Figuring it out. Speaker 1 02:09:12 So we have nobody ever called this so he's always introduced himself okay. and then it's kind of weird for a while he started calling him matt, which he wouldn't let anybody do and then he started to and it was fine i wouldn't do that. Speaker 1 02:09:59 he's the only kid that i'll let do this stuff you know yeah. Speaker 6 02:10:15 we'll figure out where we're going. If we follow Braden, we're going to end up back in suspension. Speaker 1 02:10:28 Good chance of that. Biggest problem is no cell service. Speaker 9 02:10:43 Oh, yeah. Look it. We're here. We need to go here. Speaker 12 02:10:51 So, straight that way. Do I have all my kids. Speaker 1 02:11:07 So, they count it. Speaker 12 02:11:08 I need something about volume. Speaker 9 02:11:20 It should be volume. I guess it tends to spark up a little bit, very quickly. There's a point about ten minutes in where I put my hand under his knee and I'm like, I'm a lucky cat. Speaker 12 02:11:36 Please, for the love of God. Speaker 1 02:11:55 Well, you'll know when she knows that she's good when she starts firing back. Speaker 3 02:12:26 It's just... Speaker 12 02:12:53 You good, Justin? Speaker 12 02:13:42 Did this one do. Speaker 1 02:13:48 I didn't know that was part of it. You know, I was going to make a joke and say, where's the cooler? But you got it. Speaker 5 02:14:25 You're getting it the same way. Speaker 1 02:14:54 And I'm not, this is more just as a, what do I need to work on? No, it's lack of options here. Do you really think that Jackson does this? I want to phrase this properly. I don't mean it the negative way. Do you really think that Jackson, putting him in the center, helps the defense. Speaker 12 02:15:16 So, when I put Matthew there, and anchor him with 15 talents, we're getting Jackson is canceled all over the place. Speaker 6 02:15:29 I need him to have one central responsibility. The only other one that I would feel comfortable as with my left or right back would be him, but I need him in the middle. So, it's lack of depth. It's not him doing it. Honestly, I started there because I'm like, I put him there first. Speaker 12 02:15:57 What did you see that he didn't like? That we were getting shredded? Kellen. Okay. No, he was getting beat. That I saw. Time and time again, and out of position. So I had to get Matthew on the right. Speaker 6 02:16:14 Just Kellen, wasn't it. Speaker 12 02:16:18 So knowing what he has going on at home right now, I worry about dad right now. You know everything, right? Yeah, so he's such an emotional kid. Speaker 1 02:17:17 It's helpful for me, because I always, even though, thought is like, well, if Matty was good enough, then he would put him there, you know, and so, I, I understand, now I understand your thinking. Is that yours. Speaker 9 02:17:41 Sorry. Speaker 3 02:17:46 Thank you. Speaker 12 02:17:56 No, I just started thinking who should go there. You have an idea. I'm open here. I'm telling you right now. Those are... No, I don't. Speaker 1 02:18:09 Here's really what I'm pushing on is, is there something... Speaker 6 02:18:18 Well, we caught a few because you're in front of us. Just by a little. We just crossed. But, yes, that's what you said. Speaker 1 02:18:27 So, no, pardon me when I go through something, you know. He doesn't want me to respond to his text. Nope. No, I didn't. No, me. I'm just always looking for... Okay, how do we... What do we work on next? You know, right now... Speaker 6 02:18:52 I'm looking to attack straight, so if he is out wide, I want them to be more calm on the ball in the defensive third, and as I ask them, and they know what I mean, end out. Let's use that holding mid or center back or keeper, because what happened in this game, just as Maddie attacked wide, everybody shifts, they try to force that ball there, it makes no sense, so I told them at halftime, stop. If you see them shift, play out the other way. Let's connect in the middle and let's find out the other side. Speaker 6 02:19:27 And then they actually started doing it, and it's like, okay, there you go. Speaker 11 02:19:49 I need to conclude an amour-agre, blah, and a bunch of... Daddy, I'm done. Speaker 1 02:19:57 You're done? Are you done done? Oh, here, Dad, take my trash. That's what that was. You too? Yeah. Give me your trash. Speaker 4 02:20:07 Justin, I'll throw it away. Speaker 1 02:20:50 Heel? Yeah, this one or the next one. The 28 Andy? Or is it this one? I don't know. Can you tell me. Speaker 5 02:20:57 Alright, I'll find out. Speaker 4 02:20:58 This is the day. Speaker 6 02:21:53 Jackson, are you going to join us? Niamh, are you going to join us? Or are we on our own agenda. Speaker 4 02:22:03 Turn that. Levi, turn it. Go Levi! Everybody can see? Yes. Speaker 6 02:22:22 So let's talk about game one. So how did we come up with it? So what were some of the things we did? Don't go back into pressure. What does that mean? Hold on. What does that mean? Speaker 6 02:23:04 He's saying don't go back into pressure. Somebody tell me what that means. So why is that a bad decision? Why is kicking it back what we could do? So we decided to play it out of pressure for a reason, right? We realized that there's no options there. We got it out. So our first decision should not be to kick it right backwards because we got it out of there for a reason. Speaker 6 02:23:34 So what would be a better decision there, Damien? If we're not playing it in pressure, where are we looking to play? Or switch? So which teammates? What does that mean? So why is that important? So, and your teammate, who you pass the ball back to, what can they see? Speaker 6 02:24:06 The field behind you, everything behind you, right? So they should be able to decide whether it's gonna go back to you. We also need to communicate, okay? What did we start doing better, that I told you at halftime needed to happen? Telling that was not appropriate. Speaker 4 02:24:31 I did. Speaker 6 02:24:37 What else? Intensity for sure. Intensity was much better. There were other things. stop standing behind the defender can i get a pass if i'm standing behind them can i get a pass if i step to his right or left i call that a pocket of space some coaches like to call it a window what you're trying to do is make sure that they can find you the defender. we call that something okay so if they have three that are pressing and they have two and they're. Speaker 6 02:25:11 pushed up this way can somebody tell me what these things are i i've taught you this what are those things called lines so here's a line here's a line so if my keeper has the ball and, my center my left back and right back are like we used to do with 77 center backs and they're the ones carrying the ball should my center back stand right here that close to them what should they do. Speaker 6 02:25:44 push up on the line okay who's beyond the line holding mid so this is called be this is called being between the lines see this player is between the lines if we could find him we just broke lines we just took these three pillars and pieces we took them out of the what was happening is people were putting the ball my left and right back were dribbling towards the sideline hold on and my my. Speaker 6 02:26:23 my left and right midfielder wide like i like but then they shifted and they cut off a lot. once we finally started moving keeper moves center back. We finally had options to find it. Coach likes to call this what? Into. So instead of forcing every pass here, if you see them shifting, Speaker 6 02:26:53 let's play in first. When you receive it in, my holding mid and center back, you go to the ball. I'm sorry, yeah, because they did not go to the ball. You receive it, okay. So, keeper plays the ball. Left, my right back is attacking space straight, Speaker 6 02:27:28 like I told you, instead of going wide. He has two options. If my holding mid or center back checks into the space to receive, if they can't turn, where should they play? If you can't keeper or. what else yes keeper or how about your other how about your other defender how about your left back, then we can attack space if we find that switch to our left back the right side and everything shifts. Speaker 6 02:27:58 between the lines this is an easy one to break right what does a striker need to do that they were not doing what was the striker not doing somebody who was looking to connect with a striker whether they're not good for you they didn't move side to side yes so where should my striker go if we find that switch we're playing an open body and we're attacking should they go here should they stay in the middle or should they go i want them at the top of my dog so. Speaker 6 02:28:41 The keeper played the ball this way, we checked in, we found a switch, we played it out here, and now we're attacking space. My striker needs to make a run this way to be my beyond ball option. Beyond ball means off the line, off the shoulder of the left. If that ball is playing to the striker, and you do not have a 1v1, to who? Which one? Speaker 6 02:29:16 Attacking. If I play my attacking mid, and my right mid actually made that run, then we're making our runs to goal. What is something else that I talked to you guys at length about, I'm going to give you a hint, it has to do with the post, that we did not do that cost us two goals. That cost us two goals that we could have scored. We didn't make back post runs. Speaker 6 02:29:47 Who should be making those back post runs? Only? It depends. If we played a big switch, negative, and they had it out, and the attacking mid is in the most advanced position, I'm not expecting my left mid to make that run. I'm going to ask that my attacking mid make that run. Which means my holding mid is pushed up into the space and occupies where the attacking mid normally would be. Speaker 6 02:30:20 Because the striker made a shift to receive. Somebody. We had a ball from Bodie whipped across the front of the goal. We were there. That's an easy tapping. It was a beautiful cross from the left side. He did all the work to beat them. He played one. No one was there. Because we were watching. Let's not talk about that. Right now I'm talking about the ball that was whipped in front of goal. Speaker 6 02:30:51 that nobody was there to touch. Are we looking to get an absolute perfect half-volley? What does Coach always say? Or get a body part on it. You hear me say that? Get something on it towards goal. Accept your hands. Hips, knees, anything towards goal, chances are it's going in. Especially against a team like that. It does not have to be the perfect finish. Speaker 6 02:31:25 Redirect the ball towards goal. Good crosses coming in, redirect it towards goal. Even if you have to churn and hit it with your booty, redirect it towards goal. You understand me? Guys, towards goal. but you have to do we try to kill it from those crosses what do we try and do redirected i just told you redirected what does that mean use the momentum of the cross just nudge it right don't. Speaker 6 02:32:07 try and swing it a big swing and a miss you guys do that too much you think you have to hit it as hard as you can so let's go back to the mistakes we made because we had a lot in our defensive third keeper has the ball we're building from the back left and right backs are out wide where should my center back go center back almost looks like a holding mid when we were 77. do we understand that. Speaker 6 02:32:37 then what happens. Holding mid needs to be higher, right? Do I want the holding mid on the same line as my center back? Where do I want my holding mid? Between the lines and in the window or pocket, right? So that you can have a ball played to you, right? Where do I want my attacking mid? Higher. So my attacking mid was like here. My holding mid was like here. And my center back was there. Made zero sense. Speaker 6 02:33:07 First half, you guys were all in the same area. Holding mid's higher. Attacking mid's higher. Striker's even higher than that, right? Right, left and right mids are out wide. Do I understand it? Does anybody have any questions? Keepers, when you're punting the ball, where do I want it to go? So why did everyone go up the middle? If we launch it here and it goes out of balance, we can win it from there. Speaker 6 02:33:41 Thank you. Does that make sense? Absolutely. Do I want you just kicking it though? So what did I teach you guys about kicking big balls? We talked about this in game number one. When you kick it big, it comes back big. You launch it, it comes back the same way. Is that hard or easy to defend? Hard. How do we make it easier? Play it simple. Keep the ball. Much easier to pressure there. Speaker 6 02:34:12 So I need you guys to come out with maximum intensity. Burst the balls. Stop hiding behind the defenders. Does anybody have any questions? You should have one question, yes. That's going to be my next thing, right? Elijah's in goal. You did a great job there. You're starting. My center back will be Jackson. Right back will be Matthew. Left back will be Justice. Speaker 6 02:34:43 Charlie was walking with us. He'll be here. Don't worry. We just had him. My holding midfielder is going to be Charlie. My attacking mid will be Asher. Neham's going to go striker. Bodie's on the left. Damian's on the right. Everyone understand where they're playing? Does anybody have a point? If you hide behind the defenders, Damian, Bodie, you will be sitting with me. Speaker 6 02:35:20 If you don't work back to defend, I have plenty of room on the bench for you. Stop forcing the ball. Let's look to combine. Most important, keep the ball. Number two, try to score goals. When you guys turned it on that game, it was a different game. If you made those back post runs, that was two more goals. I'm telling you right now. And the two we gave away were because we were being so important. Speaker 6 02:35:52 They had one good goal. I was talking to one of the parents, right? They had one good goal. The other two, we gifted them. And then we bailed them out by not finishing the opportunities that we had. Don't leave any regrets. What's the other word I wanted you guys to play with? Another word. Pride. We added a P, which is pride. Be prideful, right? Speaker 6 02:36:24 Play with pride. Play like it matters. It has to matter more to you than the other team. You have to want it more than they do. Okay? Anybody have any questions? You guys have plenty of space here. Let's get cones. Let's get one. Go. Bones and balls! Depending on how the game goes. Yes? You know the weird thing is? Speaker 6 02:36:55 I'm gonna go get the car. I'm gonna be gone for a little bit of a run. Speaker 3 02:36:58 See? Bones and balls, go. Speaker 6 02:37:06 They can repeat it. They understand, but this is why we're running into some issues. Elijah cut them. They're going. Everybody shifts. You think this is the only pass I'm standing behind them. They try to force that and we're done. All they need to do is show. Or take space that's not on. Keeper shifts. Right? Calm. They're only sending three. Speaker 6 02:37:41 four at most. So if they send three or four, I have keeper, I have center back, I have my right back, I have my left back, right, and holding mid. So even if they're sending three, no matter what, we have options to play. If they decide to try and hold a block here, we still have space behind. No matter what, if we're calm, we can play through that. It's that four step. So what I'm trying to get them to understand, it comes back to you the same way you send it. You send. Speaker 6 02:38:13 it big, it comes back big. That's hard to predict and depend. Keep the ball on the ground. Let's work with it. And if I lose possession here, it's not a big kick. They're trying to possess it. It's so much easier to win the ball back. Versus, you know, I like that you can hear it and they're understanding. They know what they're going to do. Speaker 2 02:38:42 Strong defender. Could Asher do it? Not Asher. That's what I was wondering. Micah beefed my fear with him. He's so aggressive. He's going to give away a piece. He's unfortunately right now streaming this sort of thing from first option action. You know. And it's going to get worse. Speaker 6 02:39:15 That's why I'm telling you. I love him. I can keep him just focused on this and work. He'll be out practicing baseball next and then basketball. Damien's done it. He had a tendency on this. You don't attack the corner flag. So that's the thing in art. I'm looking for them to drag, right? Speaker 6 02:39:50 They're not disciplined. You create holes if you do it. One always chases. This one sometimes stays here. This one's somewhere here because they have zero organization up there. If you attack, we're in, over and over and over again. And that's where we found danger in that last game. Cody beat him, whipped it across, nobody was there. Speaker 1 02:40:13 So it's like, it's- You know where he was. You know where Damien was. He was right here. Which makes no sense. Right. Because I saw that and I'm like, who's Damien? And I looked and he was, he got sucked in. That's just losing shape. Speaker 6 02:40:30 They know better. But that's why, if they do, I need Asher to make them, right? Because if he's there. my attacking mid can also make that run right striker sometimes is shifting especially because we're playing three one technically three one three one right we're not playing uh three two three they so it's almost like a four two three one so i give away i sacrifice extra numbers up. Speaker 6 02:41:04 top right knowing that because i want strength here because then we transition into a three four or one so like when we start moving at all you know they they actually move really well it's almost like that's what we work on or something it's almost like that's what we work on or something no it just magically happens but they get in their own head and they are, they're just not used to seeing the final third as much as but if we stop. Speaker 6 02:41:37 Launching the ball and having to defend it coming back the same way, we'll have a lot more opportunities here. And we need Kellen to be more, like I'm going to cut him, I'm going to give him a lot of grace when it's going on because I just think he's slow to react and just watching and like skipping behind the plays and I'm like, your head's not in it. I know it's got to be disappointing for Nicole to be here and not see him play as much as they'd like but since mine's not there, I can tell you why. Speaker 6 02:42:16 I can say, look, I'm not punishing him, I'm not angry with him, he's not checked in. Speaker 1 02:42:24 Yeah, and tournaments are different, right? You come to win in a tournament and that's where things could change. Speaker 6 02:42:37 He's going to be good. I like what I saw out of him. So Micah, Micah, why? Why are we going back into pressure? Go. Well done. Saw the score. Speaker 2 02:43:01 Just a mental. I was surprised that Arjun came. Speaker 6 02:43:11 I think he definitely understands the game. He does. He listens. He is, like, I just wish he was more athletic because he is actually, he absorbs everything I tell him. He can regurgitate, like, but correctly. Like, so you don't know, this is why, this is what. Oh! You were literally behind me! Where did you go? Go warm up! Speaker 6 02:44:26 But he can't do it by himself, but like, his IQ is through the roof, not just like actual, like... in school he gets it and he wants it. I feel bad. But I talked to mom and dad before the season started and that's how it came about. Speaker 1 02:44:48 But if you got him going for athletes in the world, there's a lot of stuff nowadays. So I remember when I went for my coaching license initially, they were like, don't stretch the kids. That's crazy to me. Speaker 6 02:44:59 And so, that's crazy. And so, but... Well at the youngest of ages, so we just, let me take that back. We just started like now, you will have, because like six and seven years old. Speaker 1 02:45:11 Well see, here's the thing. So I take my kids to the athlete promotion. He's like, he does a full assessment on them. He's like, both of them, right? Like Eric's wrist is lower. So he puts him on the table, his ankles lower up on the other side, and he's like, I'm gonna tell you. We're gonna videotape him. I'm gonna tell you how he's gonna run just by seeing what I see, right? So he's straightened up. And he's like, he's gonna run like this, right? This means he'll come over this way, and then he's gonna come over this way, and his hips are gonna be doing this thing instead of driving, right? Speaker 1 02:45:44 And so what's happening, both of them, their glutes weren't activating. Their hamstrings were doing all the pushing, right? And so what that ends up doing is they end up picking up their foot instead of picking up their legs instead of pushing. That makes sense. Right? And so, and then their coordination and all that crap goes away, right? And so, so I asked him, like, what do you think is causing this? Nobody believes it gets any stretcher anymore, so that muscle never gets activated. Speaker 1 02:46:15 That makes sense. Your body goes with what it has. That makes sense. And, um. Yeah. and he goes and they're having all these kids on which is great for me yeah you know no that's that's such a good point um and so maddie never picked that up but i'll tell you like so he's. Speaker 6 02:46:33 fixing all of these kids well even you watch their warm-ups even like when they do dynamic they have ass at all you know none of them right proper you can show them till you're blue in the face right yeah i get you. Speaker 7 02:47:19 I can't, I can't just, because we lived in, like, in the high end, more than, like, there you go. Did you get your car? Yeah. Speaker 1 02:47:28 Did you move yours? Oh, I'm going to go do some talking. Oh, sure. Yeah, yeah. And then I was asking Christos about that, and he's like, you know, and then he's like, well, listen to my talk about the kids. We need to talk about the kids. No, I'm going back. No, I'm going to go back now. Speaker 8 02:47:47 Yeah. I've got an hour to kill now. If you're, like, at the end of the line, and everybody's leaving, you're in trouble. Yeah, no. Yeah. I'm looking at it. Zip out. You think you can keep it out of the door? It's all right. Better. Speaker 9 02:48:09 You've got to think of the earning. Speaker 1 02:48:13 I'm going to throw this in the back of your truck while I go get my car. Go, go. Speaker 1 02:48:45 as much as uh my boys hit people you know you know how often I have to have to have the conversations like well I wasn't trying to it's like no you have to try not to do things like dad I broke the window because you know like he didn't catch it. Speaker 1 02:49:20 I was telling them, I came out of my bedroom yesterday, and I hear this, and I'm like, what is going on? And I come around the corner, and Eric's trying to get Maddie to tap out by choking him out. Except he didn't tell Maddie what a tap out was. He's like, tap out, tap out, and Maddie's like, ah, you know. All right, I'm going to go get my car. Speaker 6 02:50:19 A nasty habit of doing is they're marking, asking the close base side on, jockey, right? Simple, right? They're having a tendency when they're doing it, to get right in the middle of the ball. Middle of the ball, middle of the chest. When I'm trying to teach them, Matthew included, I'm outside so I could prevent crosses this way, and I'm with you, pushing you. Speaker 1 02:50:43 Ashley Ann showed me a Instagram video where the guy said, there's a lane, right? So whichever way he's driving, there's a lane here. Right? And you can step on the line of the lane, but you cannot step in the lane. And I was like, that makes so much sense. So giving them that visual. Speaker 6 02:51:03 but they still have a tendency there. Now we're just running in that zone, right there, right in the middle of the black. But I need them here. Speaker 1 02:51:13 here you understand this oh absolutely but it's giving them an absolute thing i never i never understood i i i could tell you what i i could do it i could never tell you what i'm doing so and. Speaker 6 02:51:24 what i'm looking for is lay closest to is here to prevent any balls played that way right i'm deny, i'm right please go that way but right right when i'm here they get here and they do this it's easy, yeah it's gone right they do this over and over and over again they kind of get the idea of the. Speaker 1 02:51:43 closed space in here can i give you one more tool yeah go ahead or please yeah please this is well this is what i'm noticing that no kids know how to do it right separate the ball oh yeah right yeah. Speaker 6 02:51:59 contact first then ball yeah so it's so funny i wish you're at i wish the flight twos are standing here because i literally ran 40 minutes of practice about that exact concept 50 50s, right well even like we literally just went through understanding even even you know eric. Speaker 1 02:52:21 i was watching him the other night and he's he plays right wing and he goes and the defender's approaching him yeah and he and he hits it tries to outrun him and i'm like you can't do that smart defenders love that thank you i've got all yeah i've got all the time in the world i can i can break i can break off and guard the goal you have to come that way right and do this. Speaker 6 02:52:54 of attackers who do that and use their body in between as they're dribbling they see it they will intentionally step between your hand great example. he does it at such an elite level he makes contact first even after you know as he's going he sees you steps in he steps and then continues with it there's a kid on on uh roman's team. Speaker 1 02:53:20 his dad um he's got like he's a half soccer player oh that's and they're from lithuania yeah and so one of the lithuanian national players coached him one touch please one touch now he's a chunky kid yeah but you'll watch him every cut he makes he follows with another step to block out the next player then he goes and he blocks out the next player it's amazing so i just know and that's. Speaker 1 02:53:56 why like all the parents are like he's slow he's all the way he's like yeah but why does he dribble so well that's how and so if you can get your kids who's not slow and not able to do that. Speaker 6 02:54:22 Boys, boys, stop, hey, listen to me, move over three steps and you stop hitting it into the tight people. Speaker 4 02:54:33 And you would not hit their chair. Speaker 6 02:54:44 Simple, find feet. Play your pass, please. Play your pass. Find feet. Speaker 5 02:54:52 Play your pass. I'm gonna go. Yeah, I'll be back.
