I. Speaker 2 00:01:02 Haven't watched mine yet, really. No, I'm scared to watch it. I am too. It's a while since I've watched the Big Kids'film, like" Paws Off" or whatever. Yeah, it just stays good for so long. Yeah, did you? You turn it inside out. Yeah, yeah. You didn't put it in a bag or anything like that? Yeah. All this stuff washed well, Speaker 1 00:01:23 And for my. Speaker 1 00:01:47 Yeah. Speaker 1 00:02:39 Okay. Alright. Three, three, those. Thanks so much. You got another one coming out right? Speaker 3 00:03:05 Yeah, I'm I'm waiting for it. They went. Speaker 1 00:03:08 You want to get vegan? Yes, I'm sorry. We have a bagel. One bagel. Thank you so much. Speaker 1 00:03:47 Thank you. Speaker 3 00:04:47 Okay. Speaker 1 00:06:28 Thank you. Speaker 3 00:06:58 Into it like I normally do. And it came flying out here onto my shirt. Speaker 1 00:07:19 So, I'm going to say grace. Speaker 1 00:07:28 Lord, we ask for your blessings today. I have I've had this burrito. Her parents. We weren't around when Augustine was born. Speaker 3 00:08:23 Oh, homeless guy. Oh. Speaker 4 00:08:27 Okay. But not right. While it was pouring, we came out afterwards. Yeah. Okay. I'm with you. Speaker 3 00:08:47 So Now, I do remember having a burrito at the house Was that where we had it? Yeah, right back there Yeah. Speaker 1 00:09:05 So this week. Speaker 3 00:09:10 The bank. Speaker 1 00:09:12 Called church, bids on the building. Mhm. Speaker 3 00:09:15 Called final and best. Speaker 1 00:09:19 Yeah, Such that it's not coming down to us and residential development who's offering about twice what we're offering. Oh wow, but. Speaker 1 00:09:41 So there's. Speaker 3 00:09:42 Stuff going along with that. They're asking for things. Yeah, I mean this sounds like a lot of years. So here's the, those were right on that. Because they're all, I mean this sounds right. Because they're all publicly traded companies, they can't afford to have you know twenty million dollars. Speaker 1 00:10:28 So They want to get this thing off the ground now. So it's better for their numbers. Speaker 3 00:10:40 That could vary, I mean. Quarterly numbers are important to stock price, you know. It's kind of stupid because you know you make decisions or, you know, right. But and could be I don't know. But we're taking advantage of that saying we've got money right here. Speaker 1 00:11:06 We're basically offering what our current building is worth. Speaker 3 00:11:13 So we have a warehouse building. We're offering a little bit of our building. Mountain. It is still the size. You have to sell your building to come up with the money? We have a bridge, like so so we offered this, a bridge. Oh. It's a bigger table. You got yeah I was like here for you? What's the creek club? Bridge loans just something that ties you from one thing to another, right? So it offers a bridge, right? So you know, going from like they're going to sell the home, Sell it. So they get a loan to you know. So it's usually last for six months or three months or that sort of thing. You know so if you can do a lot of different things but just. Speaker 3 00:12:09 Basically to get you a cross to something else. which usually a higher interest rate. So, Speaker 1 00:12:22 I'll tell you about my Jonathan. Speaker 3 00:12:46 Now what does Wells Fargo happen? Do they own the building? I guess the owner is. Oh, oh, so oh yeah. So they're going to want it off the books, Speaker 1 00:13:00 Right? Yeah. Right. So, Speaker 3 00:13:07 It's a yeah They're not going to want to carry. So probably the other loan is. Speaker 3 00:13:14 The other one is, we'll pay you this much, but we're going to expect you to carry it over these many years. Right. And you are saying, no, we want to do it because otherwise it wouldn't make sense. Right. We'll take it off your books today. So like Jonathan went cost the right, you know finance here. He's still working Wells Fargo. Speaker 3 00:13:44 Working his own team to like. To to give us the best package. Possible. Which is funny because like when, when they asked him like hey, is this something you'd be interested in helping out on? He was like I. Speaker 1 00:14:01 Got way too much going on. And then ended up utilizing his team. To move everything for us. It's cool, so it's one of those. Speaker 1 00:14:15 Where our pastor said. He's going to take a. Speaker 3 00:14:20 Nap with God for this thing to happen. Well, Kind of took a nap with God and get done with it here in the first place. You know, Speaker 1 00:14:30 It's been. It's got to be. Speaker 3 00:14:33 So when is the decision going to get made? Uh, Speaker 1 00:14:39 Next week. Speaker 1 00:14:47 So, you took them like a year kind of thing? Is that what you're looking at? Yeah, we probably. Speaker 3 00:15:16 I think the first round of renovations is a couple million dollars. Speaker 3 00:15:24 But It gives us, It puts us from having a four hundred person to an eight hundred person auditorium. Speaker 1 00:15:36 So, six times the amount. Speaker 1 00:15:47 Where is it? And. Speaker 3 00:15:59 Uh, they're installing a there's going to be a big wave pool across the street. So, so you got the wave pool. That's going to be the charging facility across the way. Do you remember when we got tacos? Speaker 3 00:16:18 So. So. Speaker 3 00:16:29 I Need. Well, people ask like okay so. Speaker 1 00:16:34 What's this new car here on the street lighting? It's not very much done at all. I don't have like. Speaker 3 00:17:29 Here's What I know. Every time. Speaker 3 00:17:35 We go down there for soccer. And I don't leave early. There's magical traffic. And every time I leave early, or in anticipation of magical traffic, So. guess it's that. Speaker 3 00:18:05 Oh, traffic was bad. It wasn't bad. You guys still have Friday light, you know where Fridays keep you know less traffic than Thursday. Kind of same old. Yeah, I mean there's always less traffic. We didn't plan on that one hour and twenty minutes to get here. Yeah, so an hour and twenty minutes to get here is. Speaker 3 00:18:35 This is like, why living where I live, considering I don't need to get anywhere. Traffic's always going the other way. Speaker 1 00:19:01 What's your plan? Speaker 3 00:19:05 Totally flexible. I don't, you know, don't feel like I have to entertain you and. You. Speaker 1 00:19:10 Got a few hours. So. Show you how to cut coffee. Working on a new. Speaker 1 00:19:34 It's funny is, you know, Speaker 3 00:19:41 This might sound strange, But you drink a cup of coffee, and later on the taste lingers in your mouth. You know, and it kind of comes back. Uh- huh. You know, goes and you know it's kind of like oh that was actually really good. Yeah. Ever since I started using the eight. Speaker 1 00:20:08 Like the consistency. Speaker 3 00:20:56 I want to show up. Yeah, I want to show up probably about two minutes early, right? Yeah. Yeah, so I'll probably. So I'll actually want to leave at eight. Speaker 1 00:21:10 So you'll leave at eight fifteen? Speaker 1 00:22:08 It's a good burrito. I like it. I like the tortilla too. That's where it starts. I would tend to guess that they have a lot of, a lot of heart. Speaker 1 00:22:39 Where you going? I think it no one forever doesn't own that place anymore. Speaker 3 00:22:58 Yeah. It's funny, they got around the clock security. Now'cause somebody broke into the uh house, grabbed their safe. Threw it down the stairs. and loaded it in the Cadillac that was in the garage. Their Cadillac? Yeah, stole their Cadillac. No box on that. Probably got a thousand bucks for it, I'm sure he did. Yeah, I had to mention this to him like uh when he was back with his nephew, get all those books on eBay. Speaker 3 00:23:53 Um, I'm gonna get a van. Oh yeah, we're gonna bring it back. We don't have to get it, we don't have to bring it tomorrow. Speaker 1 00:24:00 So hey, you know what? Speaker 3 00:24:07 My mom was 96. She doesn't remember anything so I'm only doing good. I'm only 26 years behind. Real question is when are we gonna you get a cup of coffee? Do you not bring your charger? Huh? Chargers. yeah, I do pills, you know. yeah. So when he forgets, when he forgets I won't go like this morning the guys were like, yeah, we didn't we didn't bring pressure washers. I listed it out. I just like normally I say hey guys bring pressure washer. Speaker 3 00:24:51 This time I went bring the pressure washer and all its components. This means the gun, the hose, the pressure washer. And additionally, I need other hose. So then the second guy gets there he's like, "Yeah, I got a pressure washer on my truck. What are you talking about?" Like how do we not know that we didn't load? But they didn't bring the extra hose. I'll see you later. So yep, You mind? And the little one? Yeah. Speaker 3 00:25:36 If You want a partner, we can meet somewhere and he can jump in or something. Yeah. Speaker 3 00:25:51 He's been there. Speaker 1 00:27:16 Hey! Speaker 1 00:29:10 Hi, you've reached Ashiana Kriish. Please leave your name and a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Thank you, goodbye. Speaker 1 00:31:07 Smooth trimming, no more nail clips. Speaker 5 00:31:15 Good morning, glory and evening grace, America. I'm Hugh Hewitt in the Relief Back Studio West. Got a lot coming up today: Senator Tom Cotton, Dan Rideny, Other experts on what looks to be the inevitability of hostilities with Iran and the Trump's thinking about that at the Board of Peace. I have that tape as well. But before today's program, We're able to pre- record an interview that will drop next week when I'm gone; Chris Reek will be my guest host next week, and you'll hear the whole interview then. But it gave me such great joy.; I, just want to let you hear a little bit of it right now. Welcome back. This gives me great joy to talk to you. How are you, my friend? Speaker 6 00:31:41 That is a complex question. I am not fine. Since November twelfth, twenty twenty four, I have been paralyzed from the shoulders down. So that goes a long way in answering your question. On the other hand, I am thinking as creatively as ever, and I am able to speak, which every doctor who's commented on it. And none of them have been religious has called a miracle Stop right there! Speaker 5 00:32:01 I'm not going to narrate the story yet; wait till next week. You can order Dennis'stuff right now. It's available uh in bookstores on Monday, but you can pre- order it, so it'll be delivered by then. It's called If There Is No G od : The Battle Over Who Defines, Good and Evil. It is written with the assistance of his dear friend Joel Alpersson. It's a fabulous book. I've read it over the last week knowing I was going to talk to Dennis today. And we spent a half hour on subjects immediate and remote, enduring and eternal, and just as fresh as yesterday's news. We talked about ten seven, we talked about his recovery, we talked about the imminence of the war with Iran, we talked about all that. But, the book doesn't drop until Monday. So I got permission just to play a little clip teaser as a way of getting you to go and purchase Dennis Prager's brand new book If There Is No God. If There Is No God, it's in bookstores on Monday, but you can have it on your doorstep if you go to Amazon or Barnes & Noble right now, order If There Is No God Dennis Prager back in the game so much fun talking him last time. I saw him Dennis. Speaker 5 00:32:36 Couldn't speak. Now he takes by well, but clearly take time to take it as a fabulous interview. Critical point for him next week. Now to the imminent award, It appears to be to me, uh, certain Donald Trump is the awarded peace this morning, kind of one. Now is a dialogue where we're going to land and join us, or rather will complete what we're doing. The world is going to be great if they don't join us, I'll be great if they do. I think they've heard different message. They cannot continue this threatening stability in the entire region. They must make a deal or that doesn't happen, I can understand if it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen, but bad things will happen if it doesn't bad things for Iran. Uh, there's a lot of reporting out of Israel today about uh order battle plans, and you never know, but these really need. Uh. Sources within the IDF and the government, and it appears as though the missiles are the number one target, trying to take them out immediately preemptively. Uh, the fourth is not yet there. It is reported to be headed to the coast of Israel to assist with missile defenses. Uh if Iran gets off a barrage. But Iran could always eventually like by the way. They're supposed to do something in writing soon, But they're down to ten days now and President Trump when he gets impatient, gets impatient and the blow will fall. And, it looks like it's going to be many blows over many days. But I was under talking about that. Uh he also said, cut number two on my plane again, guitar cut piece nobody could have signed. You do what had that threat? Nobody could have had. You couldn't have peace in other words. So now we may have to take a step further or we may they want to make a deal with. You'll be finding out over the next probably ten days, ten days don't count on Iran make a deal. Speaker 5 00:33:34 Belt. Also today, The president heaps some praise on his secretary of state that was kind of funny as well. Cut number five. Marco does it with a velvet glove, but it's a kill. Still, the result is the same; they do it very differently. And Marco, you really did yourself proud two days ago in Munich. In fact, So proud that I almost terminated his employee because they were saying why can't Trump do this? I do, but I say it differently. But Marco uh don't do any better than you did twice. It can be legit funny ; that was legit funny. Uh I got asked on Fox News today. I've never been asked about British royalty before. I get my homework. This was with John Roberts earlier this afternoon, cut number eight. And let's bring in Hugh Hewitt, Fox News contributor, host of the Hugh Hewitt Show. So these charges, the allegations, the investigation not about sex. It's about whether or not he gave confidential government documents to Jeffrey Epstein. As Jillian and I were talking about just a second ago, this is kind of like popping Al Capone for tax evasion. Well, I think you're right on that one. Misconduct in public office is the charge that's a common law crime in Great Britain. Speaker 5 00:34:17 It goes back centuries. In fact, it goes back to before the United States was founded, before the colony of Virginia existed. And it's pretty expansive. It can cover all sorts of actions by a public official wrongfully carrying out their public duty. And there are lots of cases about this. It can be a life imprisonment. Now, If you think there's an annoying on television as a lawyer talking out his or her head about things, they don't know about, I practice criminal law and land use law, But I dug into some of these precedents, and if Andrew gave confidential documents to Epstein from which Epstein could make a profit is clearly covered. But, there isn't the process that we have in the United States for getting an indictment or anything detailed charging what is happening. But as it happened. The explosion of documents ordered by Congress, We have to assume that they found an email from Andrew to Epstein, including in a attachment of a public note. And that would be misconduct by public official, right? It's not a criminal statute. It's common law. So wait till you get to the sword cases. They go all the way back to 1600s, people fighting in the wrong places with swords. So it's a wild kind of charge, right? But, it's one that as was pointed out moments ago, could land him in prison for an awfully long time if he were to be convicted. Analysts are portraying this as a huge blow to the British nation and maybe an even bigger one to the monarchy. Some people going so far as to say that this could be the beginning of the end for the monarchy. What do you think? Speaker 5 00:35:02 I don't I don't agree with that John because I think it's such a integral part of the United Kingdom and everyone else that recognizes Charles as their sovereign and head of state. We've got abdication, We can go back to Charles the first who lost his head to Cromwell and gang. So, there have been lots of crises in the long and tortured history of the British monarchy, but England without a king is really kind of unthinkable. Charles has got nothing to do with this, Charles III. I'm glad that Elizabeth II is around not around to see this because it's deeply embarrassing for everyone in the royal family, But it gets a pillar of the United Kingdom. And those who think it's going to bring down the monarchy have been expecting monarchy to end for about a thousand years. Not gonna happen. You know Democrats are pushing so hard to get these Epstein files released thinking that they were going to fall hardest on Donald Trump. A lot of president he's mentioned a number of times in various documents There's nothing to suggest that he was guilty of any wrongdoing. Meantime, Democrats are falling by the wayside, including Catherine Rohr, who was the lead counsel for Goldman Sachs. After she stepped down, This is what Democrat himself Michael Rosen wrote on MSNBC quote : " A nd another Democrat bites the dust. How many more D's will be embarrassed, dragged through the mud and declared guilty by association? I've lost track of the Team Blue casualty count so far." And in terms of politics, these files continue to embarrass only one party over the other. What's the end game here? Did Democrats shoot themselves full of holes by pushing so hard for the documents release? I think they did John. The blast radius is so large and getting larger, and it seems to be taking so many more Democrats down. By the way it exonerated Donald Trump. It absolutely completely exonerated Donald Trump. He got nothing to do with the misdeeds of Jeffrey Epstein. Speaker 5 00:35:57 But a lot of people who were probably wealthy with Jeffrey Epstein, even though they weren't involved with the horrific crimes that he committed, they're too close for comfort. Right now, The head of the Olympic committee in L A is being asked to step down by everyone who lives in L A and every Jason Zucker, because they don't want to be associated with Jeffrey Epstein in any sort of way. They don't know he's an sordid, horrible evil man. And so as I said, the blast radius is large. The only thing that's going to get this off the front pages is when President Trump begins his attack on Iran. Even, then we're going to continue to hear echoes of this as Andrew goes to trial in Great Britain or at least is released after a thorough investigation. It's just going to go on and on and on. Just real quick you you so sure that President's going into attack Iran? I believe he is. I think one does not assemble that kind of armada, that kind of firepower, and then not use it. If he did that, it would be a shadow on his presidency and on his legacy. There is only one way out for the Ayatollah officially: give up everything, their missiles, their uranium. They might even have to leave the country or there'll be as many holes around the Ayatollah's bunker as there are around the front of Jeffrey Epstein. All right. That was earlier today on Fox News with my Sunday morning show "America's Newsroom." We'll be right back in America's Newsroom with you.Jenny, we need you to build a spacecraft. What's your plan?It needs to be fast.Good plastic? Speaker 5 00:36:43 Welcome back, America. I'm Hugh Hewitt. Great to welcome Congressman Chip Roy to the program. Chip Roy is running for attorney general in Texas. Early voting has begun. Chip has been a longtime friend of the program, back when he was chief of staff to Senator Ted Cruz. He and I get along on about 95% of the issues. I'm so glad he's running for AG because state AGs matter. Chip, I was just thinking about Josh Hawley, Eric Schmidt, Uh right now, Steve Sisolak is the attorney general in Alaska. Uh I've had so many great friends David Yost in Ohio AGs in the states matter a lot. Some people though, would say why change? You're a house representative, but you're a major player for be attorney general Why. Is that Well Hugh great to be on the show. And you're right, we are great friends and look at give and take those disagreements sharpen us and make us better And, then I appreciate them And. You're right, uh, attorneys general have a great presence in Congress and the Senate. Speaker 7 00:37:11 Former attorney general who've gone that direction. But the reason I'm going the other direction is because look, after four terms, uh which I will uh sort out this year my fourth term. You know, I think I've made a big difference, had a big impact trying to change the town. Um and look, But I'm one four hundred and thirty fifth of one half of one third right? And as attorney general you're one of one. And, the state of Texas is under direct assault by the radical left by marxists. They want George Soros funding, you know, DAs and judges that are letting criminals on the streets. Our border when it's under assault like Trump's got it under control now. But under Biden, my work has been just a total disaster. And then these law applications in Texas. It's a real thing. It's a real issue. Uh is well funded. There are six hundred different groups that are doing it, and it's not just Epic City and all those things. And not just Care It's an organized effort in that election, integrity, another issue. Speaker 5 00:37:37 The AG's office is really important. It's the biggest law firm in the state of Texas. It's the number one AG's office in the state of Texas, in my view. And look, Ted Cruz was my former boss at Solicitor General. A lot of our great leaders have come from that space. And so I want to go home to Texas and fight for Texas because if we lose Texas, there's no America. Now, The first time I met Senator Cruz was at an Alliance Defending Freedom dinner at which former President George W Bush was the guest of honor. I was blown away by the guy's. You know, it's just complete grasp of everything constitutional. Does, this argument does the debate for Texas depend upon knowing what you're talking about? Because you'll win those debates. We might not always agree but you're always prepped.Do they actually know anything like what you know your opponents? Speaker 7 00:37:60 I mean respectfully, in some ways I can say it. No, I mean look, I've been in the trenches. I've been in the fights. I've been in constitutional issues. I was a Senate Judiciary lawyer under former First Assistant Attorney General, former federal prosecutor. I'm the chairman of the Subcommittee on the Constitution. Uh, I've worked for Ted Cruz. Look, I've been neck deep in this stuff and I think look Q, you know this through a bit of a spiritual lens you know? Like you know this that like went through cancer fourteen years ago? Had Hodgkin's lymphoma stage three and had a four month old daughter and two year old son God gave me more time on this planet. And believe that he brought me to this moment with the skills and background that have had and attested being someone who's been tested in fights in Washington. Think am well prepared to try to lead Texas forward at a time when it's really critical that we do so So, you know, look, there are substantive issues, which are sometimes hard to bring out for an electorate to hear them. Uh, you know, things get distilled into sound bites and ads. But. Speaker 5 00:38:28 People know me, they know who I am. They know I'm an independent voice. I'm ninety nine percent aligned with the President's or the President's agenda and Speaker Johnson, but when I disagree, I do. I'm independent. I follow the Constitution. I follow the truth wherever it may lead, And if i think i need to stand up on that, i'll do it, even if it means you know political pressure. I really don't think texas can do better for an attorney general than chip roy. We're on right now in every major market in texas, and i get down there enough, and i teach con law and chip. Roy knows this stuff. Now let me talk to you about these promification of text because i read stories about it. Chip and and i can't even believe it, but then responsible people say no, its actually that's against the establishment clause, and texas is bound by the establishment clause. What is going on? Speaker 7 00:38:51 Well, we've got a host of things that are happening. First of all, you and I would agree, I'm not going to put words in your mouth, But I know you want them to know your belief in the Constitution and mine too. That, the First Amendment is sacrosanct, and we've got to be very careful to ensure that we're not saying anything about what any individual can believe. Your right to religious expression and so forth. But what we are saying is that two things: One, You've got a political ideological movement that is very clearly a part of the Islamist network, right? The Muslim Brotherhood. A lot of people there are trying to push that not just as a religious doctrine or faith, but as a political movement and ideology. We're seeing it unfold in Europe and it's happening here in the United States. We're seeing it in Dearborn. We're seeing it a little bit with Imam Da'ud now down in Houston, and that's going to end up heading in that direction. And in Texas it's happening on very real terms. There were two Sharia courts. There were Sharia systems. They were operating at the D allas - F ort Worth Metroplex The governor Abbott had to step in front of them We're obviously, dealing with care. Muslim Brotherhood, The government declared as terrorist organizations because of their deep affiliation. And you know this. Remember the Holy Land Foundation case? That's right, terrorist. Terrorist. Yeah. And they're the undying co-conspirator from that that's affiliated with CAIR. All of these things are resulting in things that you're now seeing with this Epic City, right? This compound, This 400 acres that they try to say, oh, don't worry, it's fine. It's open to anybody. But when I can have Sharia, but when you start looking at it, that's not true. That's why the AG is going after them on deceptive trade practices and other things. Um we got to expose this, we're the party doing that, We're defending the Constitution, but we're going to stand up against this liberal ideological effort to remake Texas in an Islamic context Texas No uh Chip Wright. When I first read about that I thought to myself, where is the United States Attorney because that's got to violate a federal Fair Housing Act Is The AUSA The USA is on your side down there? Speaker 7 00:39:47 Yeah, I believe so. And to be fair, I've had a direct conversation with the U.S. attorney in that district up there when I was a federal prosecutor. I lived in McKinney, uh worked in Plano, worked in Sherman. I was right up the road there from uh where this is occurring, you know where Epic City is. So um we need to have that conversation, but I'm certainly alerted that the Department of Justice is looking into this. Uh I know Harriet Dillan is looking into this. I know that uh, where does or resulting in things that you're now seeing with this Epic City right? This compound four hundred acres Did. They try to say oh, don't worry, it's fine. It's open to any or Sharia system. They're operating at the Dallas Fort Worth. One You've got a political ideological movement that is very clearly apart of the Islamist network right? The Muslim Brotherhood A lot of people they were trying to push that Not just as a religious doctrine of faith, but as a political movement and ideology that we're seeing unfold in Europe, and it's happening here in the United States. We're seeing it in Dearborn, we're seeing it a little bit in Lombardy now, and that's going to end that direction. And in Texas, it's happening on very real turf. There were two Sharia courts. There were or Sharia systems. They were operating out of the D allas - F, ort Worth Metroplex. The governor Abbott had to step in front of Robby, said dealing with care and dealing with Muslim Brotherhood. The governors declared terrorist organizations because their deep affiliation. You know this remember the Holy Land Foundation case from back when terrorists? Terrorists? Yeah, yeah. And they're they've got conspiracy theory from that. But it's really about them, care all of these things are resulting in things that you're now seeing with this Epic City right? This compound squadra makers. Speaker 7 00:40:37 They try to say, "Oh, don't worry. It's fine. It's open to anybody." I'm not going to have Sharia. But when you start looking at it, that's not true. That's why the AG is going after them on separate practices and other things. Um, we got to expose this. We're the party doing that. We're going to defend the Constitution, But we're going to stand up against this liberal ideological effort to remake Texas into a one - party Texas.Yeah, Chip Roy When I first read about that, I thought to myself where is the United States Attorney? Because that's got to violate the federal Fair Housing Act.Is the AUSA The USA is on your side down there?Yeah, I believe so And and be fair had a direct conversation with with U S Attorney in that uh district up there fighting off when I was a federal prosecutor. Lived in McKinney, uh worked in Plano, worked at Sherman. I was right up the road there from uh where this is occurring, you know where Epic City is. So um we need to have that conversation, but I'm certainly alerted the Department of Justice is looking into this. Uh I know Attorney General Bill Linder's looking into this. I know these are all very well aware of what's happening. And I know the Attorney General has been having conversations with the Department of Justice. So let them speak to it. I know they've been having a conversation. But let's close with this specific: when can people early vote? When is the primary? And probably going to be a runoff. You might get fifty percent plus one. It's possible you're that popular that you're that qualified. But when are people voting early? When do they vote in the primary and when would a runoff be? Speaker 7 00:41:17 Yeah, thanks. So, the early voting started this past Tuesday. It runs for this weekend and next week through next Friday. The actual primary date is March third. You know, chiproy dot com. You can follow me chiproy tx C H I P R O Y T X on X slash Twitter. If we have a runoff, it'll be in late May. I think it's May twenty sixth or seventh, but anyway, late May. We do want to try to win it outright. I want to save the money. If we go to a runoff. Look, we'll go. We'll win it. You know, if there is a runoff, there will probably be against a guy named Mason Middleton who's running a lot of negative ads on me. Uh We'll push back with all due respect, he's never been in a courtroom. He's never been prosecutor. He's never been one AG's office. He's never run law firm. This is the biggest law firm in the state of Texas and one of the most important offices in the country. So, Uh, we'll win that race, but we're gonna need some help and support and money and get to the polls. And I appreciate it. You keep doing what you're doing. And like like you said, even on occasionally disagree, and we'll have a conversation with you. Iron sharpens iron. You help me think through arguments, have a necessary thought group. You know like Save America acts on the issues. You and I have talked about. We can come back on talk about those and defense and everything going on with Iran and everything else. But appreciate you appreciate the time being on show today Yeah, first thing first you gotta win. And, we need Chip Roy as the Attorney General of Texas because we need great Attorney Generals to defend the Constitution and know the Constitution that's Chip Roy Good to talk to your Congressman. Keep coming back, if you don't get that fifty percent plus one I'll talk again after they run out chiproy dot com is where going gonna find out more about my friend from Texas who's gonna be a fantastic attorney general for The Lone Star State stay tuned. Speaker 5 00:42:05 Welcome back to America. I'm Hugh Hewitt. Eliana Johnson is editor in chief of the Washington Free Beacon. She's also a contributor to the commentary podcast Almost Every Morning. I have not listened this morning, Eliana, Because I was here early, taking an interview with our friend Dennis Prager who's back in the game with a brand new book If There Is No God, so that cheered me up. But then I heard about the Potomac and I'm worried about you. I didn't realize that there was sewage on the banks of the Potomac. As far as you can see. Stay away from the river, Eliana.Oh, Don't worry, you You can actually see it out my back window here, not the not the poo, but The Potomac. Um and uh, i'm on the Virginia side of the river. So think we're okay. I I just wouldn't even go over the men bridge right now. I wouldn't want to have the Oedipus experience. Eliana, um, I listen every day to commentary, and you folks are working very hard not to obsess on Iran, but I obsess on Iran every day. So I'm going to have to make you obsessed on Iran with me. How do you read the deal? Honey, why is this speaker on but there's absolutely no sound coming out? Speaker 2 00:42:41 That's the magic. It's a pillow speaker. I've turned the volume all the way up, but you can't hear a thing unless you lie on it or place it under your pillow. Once your head rests, the sound is crystal clear and the person next to you hears nothing. It uses air pressure conduction, so only you can hear it. No ear pain like headphones, no sound leakage. It auto shuts off after two hours. Lasts up to forty hours on a single charge. And right now the price is extremely affordable. If you enjoy music or audiobooks before bed without disturbing anyone. Speaker 2 00:43:26 Grab it now while the price is great. Speaker 1 00:43:37 The customer said the. Speaker 6 00:43:38 Nano coating spray worked really well, but it was too expensive, so she wouldn't buy it again. I told my boss. Speaker 1 00:43:44 About it right away and guess what he said? Speaker 8 00:43:47 You know, I heard the president put a ten day timeframe on this and say we'll we'll know in the next ten days whetherum. There will be military action or whether these negotiations work out. I have to say I don't put too much stock in this. As you recall, President put a two week timeframe on negotiations and about forty eight hours later, we had Operation Midnight Hammer. But, the best thing view I have read on. This is a piece of analysis by Walter Russell Mead in the Wall Street Journal, who just as a student of Trump, said this is exactly where the president wants to be, which is at the center of all the news coverage with the fate of a nation and its leaders. U m at his control, and he's at the center of it all, and he can decide. Is he going to try to take out the mullahs? Is he going to merely attack their nuclear program? Is he going to agree to a bad deal and let the mullahs live another day? Is he going to do nothing at all? This is where this is trump's sweet spot and where he likes to be. And i think why we are seeing this drag out another potential reason is a positioning of our military forces, which will allow us to strike if the president wants. I'm not sure you've made up his mind, but also to defend against any potential iranian retaliation against us. It does seem like we are moving all of our potential. You know, many potential air defenses into the region. Speaker 5 00:44:35 Now i want people listen very closely to the president in his board of peace, because he doesn't say, uh, after ten days or so. And he doesn't say, it's gonna be ten days. Here's what he says, step number two. Guitar. Nobody could have had. So, now we may have to take it a step further or we may not. I think we'll make a deal. You're going to be finding out over the next probably 10 days. But he didn't say it's going to be 10 days before you find out. He said we're going to find out over the next 10 days that could be now. Speaker 8 00:44:55 Could be now. And key key to Trump's strategy and his approach to world affairs is the preservation of the element of surprise. And that is what you heard. Um he said, well see how things play out, we may do something, We may not preservingum optionality for himself, and president likes to keep both the news media and his adversaries on their toes and prepared to be whacked upside, the head. Speaker 5 00:45:09 So, Ariana, I am going to ask Seth Mandel this later, because Seth has an opinion of the vice president, which I don't share. He's an isolationist. Do you think he is? And on what is that opinion based if you do? Speaker 8 00:45:16 You know, I'm not sure we know fully what's in the vice president's heart. I think right now we see him out there supporting the president's policies, which is his job as vice president. And he's been a pretty capable defender of Trump. We saw that, particularly on the campaign trail, and we see it when he tangles with the news media. Now if Vice President J D Vance runs for president, We will begin to see he'll have the chance to differentiate himself from the president and to talk to the American people about what his views are on world affairs are and where he stands and have a chance to differentiate himself from the president. But I don't think I'm in a position to say what's in his heart and what his real views are right now. It's simply not his job, and he've been a really capable defender of this president. Speaker 5 00:45:40 You know, I've been interviewing him since his book came out, and then when he ran for Senate a number of times, I moderated debate. He has just never struck me as an isolationist or a so-called restrainer. But he got this rap, right? I mean, You hear the rap all the time that this reputation for being from that restrainer wing is sort of overblown in my view. But if I can be corrected by all means, what's the best case that he's a restrainer? I don't know it. Speaker 8 00:45:54 Sure, I think the case for that is that he's got close friends and allies in that wing, including Tucker Carlson. You know, he's a close friend and not only that but instrumental to his political rise. And both in this White House you see it on the president too. When folks in that wing of the party step in it, the vice president and the president are reluctant to criticize. You know they don't criticize people who like them who are part of their coalition. And, you know, we will see that shake out when there's a primary campaign. And there are other Republicans where we're already starting to see it with Ted Cruz and others hitting President Biden or hitting Biden like President and others. But we're really going to see it ahead of twenty twenty eight when this becomes an issue in a Republican primary. Speaker 5 00:46:23 I think there'll be at least three other besides the president. What do you think? Speaker 8 00:46:26 I totally agree with you. I think it's gonna be quite a big field because he battled to define post Trumpism and to succeed President. Trump played out, and likewise on the Democratic side, I think it's gonna be quite a big field. One thing I will say Hugh, And I think we saw this in Munich with AOC and Gretchen Whitmer being pressed on world affairs and stumbling quite visibly and embarrassingly. I do think the democratic field though it's funded, puffed up, then by the legacy media is quite overrated. Speaker 5 00:46:43 Oh, Do you remember You're not old enough, but you might remember your dad's copy of Commentary defining neocondominum back in twenty eleven? The last week is defining competence now where they had to define it down for Whitmer and Gavin, especially for AOC. Josh won on their show, said AOC. I think she would know about Spanish horses. Her last name is more than that. Kellyana, always good to see you follow Kellyana on X and Kellyana live. Join it, follow me the next segment. Welcome back in our guy view here. We had this big plan. Speaker 5 00:49:10 Morning, morning, and evening. Race America. I am Hugh Hewitt, the podcast. Pleased to be joined by United States Senator from Arkansas, Senator Tom Cotton, Chairman of the Republican Conference and Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee. Any noted New England Patriots fan? It's taken him a week to recover from that. Senator Cotton, welcome back. Hope, you are feeling better here today on your trip. Now. Senator I don't know if you are allowed to tell me, you remember the gang of eight that gets briefed when big things are about to happen. Are, you allowed to tell me if you've been briefed yet. No we're not sitting this week. So all Congress is scattered all across some three, some around the world. Um I am here in Arkansas working on kind of domestic legislation, uh, not going to stir up near stir phone. Um I've just been enjoying time on campaign trail with my fellow Republicans. But obviously, we're saying such such with the president hitting their game and strong support for what they're doing to try to make a run uh or eliminate threat. Wrong, what's wrong? Senator, I'll come back to that. I want to ask you about the campaign. We're on a little rocky cover a lot of the state. Is anyone running against you this time? Or are you getting another all in entry? No, no, even three rare as they're right now. Got a couple opponents in my primary, couple different lines for general election. So election just got 18 days away now on March third. Early voting is underway. So if you're in the state and you haven't voted yet, we'd be out votes. And have next year that I concur with that, please go ahead. Do that. Just had chip Roy up front in Texas, and they also really voting now I'm, not at the end of the calendar. Let's turn to Iran. Uh, let me play for what the president had to say on his flight down to Georgia. Uh last hour. Senator Cotton, can we play that Harley? Speaker 5 00:50:09 We're going to get a deal one way or the other. I'm not going to talk to you about that, But we're either going to get a deal or it's going to be unfortunate for them. I would think there'll be enough time, 10-15 days, pretty much maximum. So pretty much maximum, but he doesn't say it's going to be 10 or 15 days in Iraq. You're a pretty expert at listening and translating the president. What's he saying? Speaker 6 00:50:25 Well, He was what he's been saying for more than a decade. Now,: We cannot tolerate an Iran that has nuclear weapons;, an Iranian nuclear weapon that is armed with thousands of missiles that can target, not just our troops in the region, but also our friends in the region and much of the civilized world. And frankly we can't tolerate. Revolution ary democratic regimes that support terrorists like Hamas and Hezbollah and others that have a lot of thousands of American lives. These are pretty reasonable requests by the United States and Israel that Iran no longer export terror and violent chaos. But we're not going to do that, of course, until they're so totally skeptical about their willingness to change their policy. Speaker 5 00:50:49 So you know that dictators can capitulate; Gaddafi capitulated on his WMD, nuclear, Chemical scuds in two thousand three two thousand four Is that what it would take for us to hold off from attacking them? Speaker 6 00:50:56 Yes, You know, there are clear models about this over the decade of having Iran come in from the cold. And turn the page. Muammar Gaddafi really is maybe the best example of that again. The predictor, We had the blood of lots of Americans by the end of two thousand three. He was scared straight, and he threw the door open and he told America, "Come in, take everything. Take my nuclear reserves, my biological chemical research weapons. I don't want to be next." And over the next eight years, He became in essence, a safe backer of Iran until Barack Obama obviously overrode him and opened up what then became a terrible war ever since. And an unfortunate unrest back there, creating migration crisis. But that's what genuine disarmament would look like. Iran said, "You take all our nukes." By the way, we don't need ballistic missiles to shoot halfway around the world either. And, we promise we'll not only cut off from our Hezbollah, but we'll give you the keys to kingdom and tell you where all our money is going and where they're located and how you can get hold of them. Speaker 6 00:51:29 Senator, Yesterday, the Metternich of MS Now Ben Rhodes posted that we're on the brink of war, and there's been no debate, no talk, no resolution in Congress. First of all, I assume everybody in Congress is talking about Iran to each other. And I also assume the AUMF from uh 2001 is adequate to the day. But I also assume the President doesn't have Article Two powers adequate to the day. What do you think? Well yeah, I think President as C omm ander - in- C hie f has all the authority he needs under Constitution to take military action because it's rich that the Obama crew would be talking about military action without any debate or vote in Congress. That's exactly what Barack Obama did in 2011 when he toppled Muammar Gaddafi. The difference is huge : Gaddafi by that time was a de facto ally for A merica. ; Iran is most virulent, anti - A merican regime in the world, and that's real bottom line for Obama crew and Democrats. Do, they always want to attack and undermine our allies and to appease capitulate to terrorists. Now, I also recall that during the Obama era, they did not follow, they entered into a treaty with Iran. A bad treaty, a bad deal. You wrote a letter to the Iranian government at the time, saying it's not a treaty because they didn't submit it to us. Um I believe the same would apply to President Trump if they entered into a deal with us, it oughta go through the Senate right? And, you know, there was just one frustration in that letter, along with 46 other Republican senators. O ne : If, you don't have a treaty with United States. You don't have much because it can just be reversed by the next president. And two: remember, United States Senate has staggered six- year terms. So unless Barack Obama is staying in Canada. He won't be there much longer. Okay but President Trump's been kind of. Speaker 6 00:52:25 Reinforce the deal. Yeah, I think that's what they will because the Ayatollahs have never been willing to surrender their nuclear weapons to a missile. They have to be allowed to review that. Speaker 5 00:52:31 Now, Mr. Rhodes wrote, I want to quote it to you:" No legal basis and no debating Congress about what could be a major war with no clear sense of what the objective is or what comes next." Let's focus on the second part. I think that's incorrect. My current objective is getting Ayatollahs away from power, Transitioning any government that isn't theocratically crazy and has millennial ambitions to end the world. What's your objective here? Iran? Speaker 6 00:52:47 You know, America can never do well if Iran is at a point below this better place if regime was changed in, Iran doesn't mean that America is going to do military or do so without going down through, but who can doubt. Be a better place. Iran itself, You didn't have theocratic dictators, oppressing their own people and radiating violence beyond its borders. Speaker 5 00:53:01 Senator, do you have any idea who might be in the transitional leadership? The conference has been on these programs since last we talked. Maybe an expat; he's been in exile for 47 years. I'm not sure. Do, you think there are other forces within the regime that could step forward as did in Venezuela? Former allies of Maduro stepped forward as soon as the guy was gone. Speaker 6 00:53:12 Well, I'll put it this way: I would suspect, given human nature, That there's more than a few senior leaders in Tehran who look at what happened to Maduro and look at what's happening to Afghanistan, and they're thinking to themselves:" I'd like go through my three- year deal." Speaker 5 00:53:22 Last question, Senator: In terms of the. Cost of this operation is extraordinary to forward- station this number of people. And I just saw a picture of the number of tankers we got at the Sofia airport in Bulgaria. England, United Kingdom, will not let us use their bases, but Bulgaria is letting us use their bases. Does that call for some kind of rethinking about who's our friend and who isn't? Speaker 6 00:53:36 Well, you know, I've seen that report that'll come out on it. But, if any one of our allies is closing their airspace or closing other bases, Which they have been calling for a direct response from the president, if not a direct confrontation with different nations. Speaker 5 00:53:44 I hope we get that too. I cheated. One more question: Do. We need a supplemental for defense, given the amount of expenditure that's going into this forward. Push? Speaker 6 00:53:49 We very well might do eventually if operations are delayed again, and we spend a large amount. We had a large amount in the department last. Speaker 5 00:54:23 I do because I was talking about bad football teams and for some insane, crazy reason that I cannot explain, I have no excuse here. I said the Cleveland Browns. We were talking about bad teams playing overseas because we're trying to Mary, Catherine and I were trying to explain about how to gin up excitement. Uh beyond uh, our borders for American football. But, every time they have some event taking place, either in Germany or in Britain or somewhere else in the future, uh it's always kind of two teams that do fairly bad. And for some reason, I said Cleveland. And I know, I should've known better as soon as I said it, I thought he's gonna hear this, and i know i should've just said the jets, right? Right? Did you hear that but that's not the reason! That's why you always ask an open-ended question! That's not because people interrogate themselves on their phone! Like Peter Falk right now is Columbo! That's not the reason they reminded me about the Browns! The reason is from the latest episode of Getting Outta Here. Speaker 5 00:54:54 Okay, no, I don't remember uh what what I why you're mad. Okay, go ahead. All right, ready? You take that on Fat Tuesday and you talk extensively about Chinese food and how great it is and Peking Gourmet and how you just get stuck. You went on forever about what you like to eat at a Chinese restaurant. And then it drops on Ash Wednesday, Vic Mattis. I know It's unfair for the rest of us who have to fast in that fasting involves You know. It's a it's a very peculiar thing here as you know as a fellow Catholic. Because, yeah, it's like You know two small meals that don't equal the larger meal. But if your larger meal happens to be a Chinese buffet, you could pretty much eat anything you want. So that was unfair for most of us. Because all we're doing is thinking about food. For one day, we feel like we can't have it so guilty starts. You talk about it on Tuesday, so you can run out to your local Chinese deli and grab as much kung pao, whatever that you wanted. And then the rest doesn't care it on Wednesday. Now I want to go to double down. If you were talking about being mistaken by other people, I didn't recognize the name of the person with the black hat that you don't like being compared to. Who is this? That is a professional golfer, K J Choi, uh and he's a very good golfer himself. That, we actually don't have in common. Uh, but when my good friend pointed that out, you know the first thing I think is do we all look the same? And then I went to check him out and I said my goodness, The skeletal structure, his head size uh is eerily eerily similar, and I said, okay, that was fair. All right. So I came up with for Mary Katherine Audrey Hepburn and I think it's a very good match. Speaker 5 00:55:47 I've gotten agreement from people, but I have two doppelgangers, at least I've been accused of two. One is the former Lieutenant Governor of Missouri. And if you're watching on this channel, NewsChannel 8, here's Peter Kinder. What do you think? Yeah, that that looks like a a twit of yours definitely. All right yes. And then at the 2007 American League Championship Game and there was my. You know what do you think Nick? Yeah that that looks like a a twit of yours definitely. All right yes. And then at the 2007 American, League, Championship Game, and there was my brother, Rob, Guinnery and Patrick Wilson, and a fan stumbles by says " Y ou! You! You're Stephen King!" And this is what Stephen King looks like! And I was not happy! No I mean, maybe they were thinking about your writings somehow That. They just thought, you know, there's a lot about the creativity that flows through you Uh. No, there's some similarity just in in the eyes, but that's about it. Alright, how about let's go to the key issue of the day, the Potomac. Um I have been following this from afar. Like really afar. I'm glad I left D.C. last week. Where can you smell it? Well this is the thing, This happened in late January just before the big storm was to happen. So that is not an excuse for why there hadn't been better coverage at least on a local level. Uh. But then when that happened, all anybody wanted to talk about was Snowmageddon. And somehow it's like we almost wanted to convince ourselves uh that it was so cold that sewage smell would just be frozen in place. That is not true at all. It comes out of the pipes, and it's just spilling on top of the surface of what normally would be water. So it was even worse. And you've seen the uh video and uh footage on this now with toilet paper, it's absolutely disgusting. Speaker 5 00:56:43 Um, we are down here. We don't smell it yet. This is in the summertime. We just got an email from Arlington. County assuring us our drinking water is safe because it co it comes from a source further upstream. They say that said, everybody around is saying, do not go into the water. Now that's possible right now. I look out my office window, and the Potomac's still largely frozen, but you oftentimes see in the late spring well into summer and fall. People love to go, kayaking. People love to do all sorts of water sports. And even before this spill here, we were told, you know, don't fall in the water. And definitely don't you know consume any of this water. But now it's just downright deadly, and that's disappointing in particular here where this spill happened is Cabin John I don't know if you're familiar with that area. It's near the American Legion Bridge Carter Rock. Naco Park is a beautiful, beautiful area in Maryland where a lot of people can go hiking. There are a lot of nature trails. Not anymore. So I don't believe it. No. Have you ever read Stephen Johnson's The Ghost Map by chance? I have not. The Ghost Map is about the eighteen fifty one cholera epidemic in London, and the cholera epidemic began when there was a mixture of human waste with uh well water in London, and it spread throughout the city through the pipes. So I'm not buying only to dump. Are they sure there is no way for that cholera travels by human waste? I? Mean, yeah, like that lot London. Yeah uh well, the big thing is that uh even if they're wrong about it, I'm pretty sure they'll still all have their jobs. Because, as you know, yeah. Speaker 5 00:57:37 You know, no accountability. It's all Democrats here. I mean, and they keep on getting reelected year after year. There is no other alternative. I wish there were. And you are talking about what happened up in Cabbage John that's up in Maryland himself. I mean, yeah, There is the DC Water Authority that's involved with the EPA. Of course, now should be obviously has to be involved because these are ultimately now getting into it. But, this is a very serious spill, and, of course, poor Lee Zeldin at the state. First month on the job, he had the Pacific Palisades with all the burned out uh batteries that had to be disposed of. Now a year in he gets the Potomac and I don't know that he signed up for a job that meant clearing up all this bleach, uh, but he did as a job now, right? It's interjurisdictional. It's federal. Yeah, that that's right. And uh I'm pretty sure that reporters will be definitely on him for that. Where the reporters were earlier is is a good question. Again, we talk about the need for better metro reporting. There are some local sources obviously that are doing a good job, But uh, a lot of it is, you know, I mean, there doesn't seem to be any sense of urgency. Certainly, when this first thing happened. Uh, you have local news radio, as you know, uh, doing this, but none of the major papers were really spending that much time on what happened. Uh, right? The Free Beacon seems to be all over this. I don't mean all over it, But I mean covering it closely very quickly. Kudos on the Free Beacon review by the latest atheist to try and get on the atheist train. I thought the review was one of the most devastating I've ever read. Who wrote that? The guy from The Ethics and Public Policy Center? Yes, That is Carl Trueman, A Protestant theologian But. It was my good friend, and you know him as well. George. Weigel said You got to get Carl to review this book. It's going to be something else And he did not disappoint. Speaker 5 00:58:36 And all things outrage, including the things that don't get on at one thing. Hello? This is. Speaker 9 00:58:45 Hello, my love. Hello. Hey, how's it going? I am doing well. Good. I just bought you something. Speaker 3 00:58:56 On Amazon. Speaker 3 00:58:59 Do I go and check it out or do I? I'll tell you about it and then you can check it out. Okay. It's a under the pillow speaker that is supposed to through bone conduction, allow you to listen to stuff. Um like you put this speaker under your pillow, and it will like send the music through the pillow through your bones into your head. And I'm thinking, You know, Speaker 9 00:59:28 Because you heard my phone going off last night. Speaker 3 00:59:30 No, it's because I saw an ad and I was like," This is an interesting idea." So then I went to Amazon and said," What do they have?" And I was like," W ell that doesn't have good reviews, but this one does and they have one left that I'm buying it." Um because like you complain about your ear hurting and you know, and like. You know, you I want you to have the freedom to like. You know. I don't know, I, I saw it and I wanted to get it for you. Thank you. Speaker 9 01:00:06 That's very very, that's very very thoughtful. Really appreciate it. So. Speaker 3 01:00:12 And if you don't like it, that's okay, too like I'm wondering is like, okay yeah, she's normally on her Like on her side, watching it or whatnotum but does still work if it's. If she's lying down on her like. You know. Like, facing up I don't know, you know I mean so right. Um but I just, you know. I saw it and. I said, I want to get that for her so I did well thank you. Speaker 9 01:00:43 I appreciate you thinking of me. Not so convinced Do you want to give me brain cancer through all these like. Speaker 9 01:00:51 Brain things that you know what's funny. Speaker 3 01:00:53 Well, that's not a brain thing. That's a that's a you know. I've actually considered using that several times. I just honestly if if it was like on my desk right now, I'd probably start using it if I knew where exactly where it was. Like, I'm actually believing in that. I've thought back to that moment, so many times of like You're such an idiot, Braden." All of a sudden, you are like," Can you not do that next to my balls?" Because it's so much more important to me than your than my wife's brain. That's. Speaker 1 01:01:36 Really funny. Speaker 3 01:01:37 And I think the most important funniest thing about it is like I never actually thought about whether or not it would hurt you. Like never crossed my mind, but the second you laid down with it next to my balls, I am like, "Oh my balls! My balls!" It's like I've thought back to that so many times. Like, "You f'd that seven ways to Sunday. " So there is like I am not even gonna like there is no there is no nothing. Like you can never bring this up. Like. Speaker 3 01:02:19 With the intention of actually having her understand your point, But I can bring I feel like I can bring it up now because you brought it up. So I was like, okay, well here is funny story. You know. Um So, the real reason why I called you was because Erin's having like a really hard time right now. Erin who? My cousin. Oh okay Um Like she called me crying, Um, and more so because she's mad at Mike, But she's starting to think like maybe she's projecting on Mike her anger at her dad, because Mike's doing stuff that her dad does. Yeah, you know. Right. And it was like you know Aaron. Um I've been really worried about you and she's like what are you talking about and I'm like. Speaker 3 01:03:17 You've been engaging all this stuff, but you've been doing like you are planning all this stuff for Rhonda. You are doing like you are, you know, your ADHDing and whatnot. And you are just like I didn't say that, butum yeah. Speaker 2 01:03:29 But it's like you are just like driving right because you have things to get accomplished. But t here is gonna be a point in time where these feelings that you've suppressed. They're gonna come out. Speaker 3 01:03:47 Because the fact of the matter is that you love your dad, And he's done a lot of things that don't that he's done a lot of things that has has disabused you from the respect that you have for him, but that doesn't change the amount that you love him. Yeah, right. And and at some point in time, and That's when she really started crying. And and my dad like had gotten, it's like my dad's like yeah. I'll just sit in the truck with you. And I'm like seriously? You know. Speaker 3 01:04:19 You Know, and so she's like, I muted her for a second. I'm like, hey, hold on a second. You know and and thenum I said look she's like, but he's done so many things. I'm so mad at him. And I'm like yeah but now there's only one person that it hurts anymore. Like so what if you're mad at your dad? You know, Like it's only going to consume you now and and you got to figure out how to forgive him for this. And and I just want to tell you up front, this is not like something that you're just going to go, "you know what, I decided to move on." Like when you forgive him for this, there's a cost to be paid for that. And there's only one person who can pay the cost anymore. And it's you. You know? And so. Speaker 3 01:05:16 But, there is a point where you can either pay the cost now or you can pay the cost for the next ten years and then pay the cost, then too. You know, and so she's like, "You know, My VP of operations just told me I need to start thinking like that too. I need to start," you know, because he knows that I haven't like spent any time on this. I am like, "Yeah." You know. Sounds like a smart guy. I wish he wasn't, that way I could have that job. I didn't say that, but it went through my mind. So. Yeah, so I just want that to be on your radar. You know, I don't think that like tomorrow, she'll pull you aside and want to talk or anything like that. Speaker 3 01:06:15 I don't know. I'm so completely off topic. Did you ever call my sister back or reach it back out to her? No, I didn't. I didn't. Um, at a minimum, Not today, if you you know, you're in the, i mean, i completely understand why you haven't, but at some point in time, if you could go, hey, i was in the thick of things, and you sent me a really nice note and cause honestly. She asked me if she could send you that note, like. And and I was like, you know, I'm like yeah, if you feel like you want to connect with her on that level. And then you didn't respond to her, which I which is fine. I get. You know but Erica doesn't let that stuff go until like. You know But I know I plan on getting it tonight. I know, I know babe, i just i will get. Speaker 9 01:07:08 Back to her after she actually. Speaker 9 01:07:12 Like when it comes to my. I know. Like, you know how busy I've been? Honestly like. I've been grounded, you know. I know. So like, I just like. Like short of depression, You know which which is kind of the state that I'm like trying to like not allow myself to get into, you know? Like that's that's where I'm at. You know so. And but it's not an excuse. Speaker 3 01:07:40 It's just like. Yeah, I'm just I'm just here to. So. Speaker 9 01:07:47 I do plan on getting back with her. Um like at this point because you brought it up to my attention, I'm not gonna be like, I'm not trying to rebel or anything like that. I just like, I just, I'm gonna give it too much energy than what it deserves or... I can't, I can't no It deserves a lot of energy, Speaker 3 01:08:07 But i don't have the ability right now. You're fine. You're fine now. You're fine now. No no no no no, I just ADHD, that's all. You know. Speaker 9 01:08:15 So, um. Okay. So like I I feel bad for not getting back here, I just. you know like I said it's just like. I'm just embarrassed. No no no no no, Speaker 3 01:08:26 You're fine. Like I literally just went like emotional situation, emotional situation Did that kid ever done? Right and and then that's that's all. No. Speaker 9 01:08:38 Honestly. Um. I don't want to talk about it with her. I don't want to talk about it because I haven't thought about it. And I don't want to think about it. And I know that sounds like I'm in denial, but like, It's something that I haven't really taken on and if I really think about it, It'll upset me. And.I'm already upset with all the other stuff going on. That sounds horrible but like. So. And maybe that's like probably a source of why I haven't gone back to it. It's not the only reason and i'm not trying to like you know. Speaker 9 01:09:09 You're fine. You're fine. It's just like I like I you know, Almost sad that other people are putting more weight and thought into this than I am. Like, I feel like I have to generate a response if that makes any sense. Speaker 3 01:09:30 Here, the the fact of the matter is cash This thing, It looks like we dodged a huge, ginormous bullet. And everybody knows the amount of love that you have for me. And so, by any reasonable method, if they were going through this right they would be thinking, "Oh my gosh, Ashley and like it would kill me and Ashley and must be. " But. The fact of the matter is, is that we've got so much junk. Speaker 3 01:10:07 In front of us that needs to be handled today. And and you and I essentially got a six month reprieve, right? Where we don't know if this is a thing. We won't know if this is a thing for for six months. Um, and so you are like, I need to deal with what's in front of me first, and then once I can clear my plate, then I can think about that. So yeah, kind of. So I get. Speaker 9 01:10:38 So now I feel like I have to like give people more of an emotional response than what I even have, you know. And it's like, and look, That's not stopping. It's not a reason or excuse or like, and it's notum I'm not avoiding her. No, I don't think you're overwhelmed, and then I have to come up with a response that honestly is made up. You know well, Speaker 3 01:11:00 Well, was going to tell you your your response is. Speaker 3 01:11:05 Your response is, um, the idea of it is really scary to me. Braden seems like he's, um, taking it very seriously and also not very not not worried about it. So that way you can check both of those boxes. Braden's good so I am Braden's Braden's on it. And he's good, so I am good. Okay. Right, because if you just say Braden's not worried about it, so I am not worried about it, It's going to be like, well, I don't think you know, Braden's putting the proper thought into it. But if you say that Braden's on it, you know? Speaker 9 01:11:52 When I told Candace, and then she freaked out and called me. And then the next time she talked to me, she was like, that's a big deal. I drank because of this and all that kind of stuff. I was like. I was like It's gonna be what it's gonna be. Like, I got so much stuff going on. Like, I can't. It's gonna be okay. You know? So now I'm trying to make other people feel better about something that like, I am that I feel bad about 'cause I am not responding like them, you know? And um Candice is fine. She's like are you in denial? And I'm like, I don't know maybe but like, II don't have the ability. Like, I'm gonna just walk through this phase with this 'cause iI don't have the ability to overthink this right now. Speaker 3 01:12:31 But you know what? At the same time, let me just say that Candace does not get the ability. She does not get you. You will not allow her or anybody else to place any weight on this for you. They do not get to take your thing. Speaker 3 01:13:02 And make it bigger. Does that make sense? Yeah. Well, and so that's that's the thing going on with me. Speaker 9 01:13:11 And I feel loved. Look, I know that they care, you know, that's the thing. So I'm not gonna I'm not trying to be a brat about it, You know, like like mind your own business, like I'm not going to get back to them like I don't want to take advantage of that, you know like they care about me so they're checking in on me. I just don't know how I feel about it and, I don't want to talk about it, And then I certainly don't want to feel like I have to come up with something for them. But, anyways, we've talked about this a lot. I think I think you underst. I appreciate how much you understand like where I'm coming from, you know with this. Speaker 3 01:13:43 Look, I had one hope coming out of this. I was hoping that like maybe this would devastate you and you'd be like. I need to have sex with him all the time! I need to have sex with him all the time! Yeah. Speaker 9 01:13:58 Like I this could be his last day. Speaker 3 01:13:60 Yeah. Like he always, he always complained that I didn't give him enough sex, and I do not need him dying thinking that. And if I only had sex with him one more time. Hey. I know how much you love me. Okay? Speaker 3 01:14:27 Don't let anybody question that. I know how much you love it. So, all right, um, anything special about today? Speaker 9 01:14:45 Um, Katie's coming over and I just got a lot of work to do. Oh, Eric Santana just sent. I need. Reminding people, I think of the game that they have on Saturday. Speaker 3 01:14:56 Send it twelve canyon arrival eleven thirty. In fact, I am going to shoot him a text and ask him for his email address. Do you have his email address? No, We'll make it, let's make him the extracurricular unless you unless you think it should be Jonathan Watanabe, who would you? No, i mean, Speaker 9 01:15:16 I think eric santana, i think Eric Santana should be the extracurricular because we're applying to OLU. But like. I didn't want to complicate something that you don't want, that maybe you wanted to drive distance between, you know. So like I didn't want to. No, Speaker 3 01:15:35 In fact what I'll do what I'll do is I'll ask Eric. i'll I'll tell Eric to ask for it. I think because I think Santana would appreciate that more coming from Eric because he tries to treat them like little men. Okay. That work for you? Yeah. Speaker 3 01:15:57 I'm ready, honey. Okay. Um, pork chops tonight or yeah, pork chops tonight? Speaker 9 01:16:05 Yeah, We probably need to do pork, chops and I need to know what I want to do for Katie. So yeah. Speaker 3 01:16:10 Okay. You want me to take that? It's okay, Speaker 9 01:16:11 I'll get there. Um, we'll play it by ear because I have everything I think I need. You know, in order to be able to do a dinner tonight, one way or another. So okay. And but yeah, if that's okay. I just need to see how far I'm gonna get here, and I feel like, and I just have, I just gotta, I gotta stuff get stuff done. Okay. That's fine. Alrighty. So, love you. I love you. Yep. All right, talk to you later. You got it. Hey. Speaker 6 01:16:45 Tartstone from LEGO Galaxy at LEGOLAND. Speaker 3 01:16:48 I love LEGOLAND! So do I. But there's an asteroid heading right this way! Can you build a spacecraft to turn this rock into. Speaker 1 01:16:56 With blasters and wings and balloons. A balloon blaster flight. And you're gonna fly it. Speaker 10 01:19:10 So, Muscle memory around. Speaker 3 01:19:31 Did it work? Yeah. No, I know. So, one hour, one hour. I I get in the night and one hour in the morning. Oh yeah? So it has a timer. Oh yeah. Turn off in one hour. Speaker 11 01:19:50 In coming, in the morning? When I came? When I came on the yes when I came is. Speaker 1 01:20:24 So, I don't know where the hose is for the pressure washer. Speaker 3 01:20:31 I think it's here. That. Black. So they brought one. Yeah. Speaker 3 01:20:54 No, I did, but it has a leak, so. Speaker 3 01:21:02 Yeah. So, it's level, and then it's like that. So, it's that tile is two inches. Two inches. Oh, the tile is two inches. But that tile, right? So I can just just it's not hard. Speaker 11 01:21:46 You you, you told me that to do you mean that to do you mean something? You're saying me or no? Speaker 3 01:21:53 Yeah yeah I uh yeah Tom, Speaker 11 01:21:57 Yes. Yes. You told me a measurement on the floor like through the. Okay. Speaker 3 01:22:44 Yeah, So I'm gonna give you uh new measurements for the inside because the floor is a little bit farther down. Yeah. Speaker 3 01:23:17 Okay. How much time? How much time you need? Speaker 11 01:23:21 Oh yeah, I don't know. It's after the lunch. Yeah, I think so. Okay. No, no a lot of floors, little bit only few. Speaker 11 01:23:39 It's okay. Speaker 3 01:24:14 Yeah. Yeah, so what I did is I went two and one eight. And then one inch. One inch? Yeah. Oh yeah, right? So remember because the high point was two and one eight right? Speaker 11 01:24:30 The high point is two and one eight yeah Right, Speaker 3 01:24:32 So at two and one eight, and then one inch back. Speaker 11 01:24:37 One inch back from this, Yeah, yeah, for the finish, the tile. Speaker 3 01:24:53 Yeah, And then here what I'm thinking is for for the BC Pro. I want it like three sixteenths quarter inch. Right? And then so like quarter inch with uh, But with the loop roller, one quarter inch, right? So maybe want a towel, right? The spray and then the loop roller. But for like some of these, the teeth are big. Right here. I think we should probably. Yeah. Okay. And don't forget the. Speaker 3 01:25:39 The. Like this needs mesh, right? Yeah, because it's a. No. Only for style? Yeah. No, Speaker 11 01:25:55 Only for the on the is this in one, Speaker 3 01:25:59 No The mesh is more important. So the M one The M one is not in the detail The M one is only if it's bigger. It's in one sixteen, but always the the best. Speaker 11 01:26:11 Okay. Stay in. So yeah, pero after po si naman I don't have the this one. Speaker 3 01:26:17 Yeah, That's and then this line eight one quarter is the same for, oh, yeah. Yeah, I won't call it there. Oh yeah. Speaker 11 01:26:38 I think says is one eight more. The the flow. Okay, the explosive. So no, it's a one one four I think you know. Yeah okay okay. Speaker 3 01:26:54 Um. Okay because after these we can float, They can float. I don't have the tile yet, but once, but it should be soon. But my my goal is make them float, right? And you can start cutting the tiles. Right? Because we're going to need miters. We're going to need. Well, But the nice thing is, is that it's going to be you know like it's tile, right? All of this. Speaker 3 01:27:37 There's one cut. Or, right? The same measurement. So one eight. But we're also going to need to put in here too. The tile is going to be one eighth inch in here, but we need to uh we need to also um put the the sealant, the M1 and Rapid Set. So I. Speaker 3 01:28:08 You know what? No rapid. We can feel it, and then we'll float all the way up. You know what I mean? Put the float strips, we'll float into here. The same. Yeah, yeah. Speaker 11 01:28:38 In the crack. Yeah, but right there. So that the the wire is here. Yeah? No. Here. Speaker 3 01:28:51 I think so much. No, There's There's water here Oh yeah But we'll find out too So maybe in Try it. So, M 1 all of that? Sand? And remembering to here. And back. That's how I want it. No. There's. Speaker 11 01:29:28 Still a little bit here. You see? It's wet there, but. There everything is fine, no? Speaker 3 01:29:39 So I told them no, no. Oh yeah, yeah. So we can watch maybe on Monday. Speaker 11 01:29:47 Dry? Yeah. And then we need a pressure washer now first. Oh yeah, Speaker 3 01:29:56 Because Yeah, But we need to make sure your metal is okay cycle. Then pressure wash it. Speaker 3 01:30:11 So they're gonna bring everything from uh Eighth Street today. Well, Monday. Right, so after they're finished today, they'll load everything up the toolbox. Speaker 11 01:30:23 Bring it. Okay, bringing this guy here. Yeah, Okay, for this that you know the work palabra, Speaker 3 01:30:33 Oh word work word yeah, word palabra. Okay. So, I think for the, what do you think for the tool chest? Maybe right there. Speaker 11 01:30:45 Yeah. And. Speaker 3 01:30:48 Uh and uh you want the the boxes here too? Yep. Is better, right? Yeah it's better. Yes, okay, yeah, Speaker 11 01:31:01 Put that yes, on this on the table and throw them. Yes, tool box. Okay, got it. Speaker 3 01:31:22 Okay. You taking out all that wood? Speaker 10 01:31:24 Yeah, man, he told me to take everything out. It's coming off pretty good. Is this good? Or do you want me to take? Uh, take it completely off? A little bit still. Speaker 10 01:31:43 Like would it not like, would it be a problem. It'll rot. Speaker 3 01:31:48 That's what will happen is the water will get through, and then it'll rot. Speaker 10 01:31:52 No, I'll take it off. Speaker 3 01:31:54 You know, and when it rots, it starts expanding and stuff. Oh yeah yeah I'll just take it all off. So well, what you can also do is, you know, take a grinder to it, but that's not what I do I just grind off because you're never really going to get even if you go. You still get all these little. I'll just take a cup grinder real quick too. It is okay? Yeah, we're going to set this because I don't care. Normally, I wouldn't say, take the cup grinder to it because it makes it too smooth. So that's just for memorandums, see? Right, the two fifty four doesn't care how smooth this is. But buddy else pick those whatever right? Right. And so this is going to go two fifty four and thirty seven, oh one, right. So it's going to end up being like that. Speaker 3 01:32:42 Okay. Um. Yeah, Speaker 10 01:32:48 Because it's just this section over here. Speaker 3 01:32:50 That's that's really stuck with the thin set. Yeah, I think you can do that with a cup grinder. Speaker 10 01:32:59 Not it. Speaker 11 01:33:12 I'm ready, but my. Speaker 1 01:33:55 I think I've seen the boat. Speaker 1 01:34:27 What'd you do? Speaker 10 01:34:30 It's called PRP, the plasma. Speaker 3 01:34:32 It's like a plasma replacement injection. Speaker 4 01:34:36 Yeah, they shot. You open up the microwave and I'm gonna step back. Like I'm like bro, you should've stayed home. I walked back. Speaker 10 01:34:46 I don't wanna bend over so I stepped back to look inside the microwave. Speaker 3 01:34:51 So is that like. Is it just like. Hey, keeping young kind of thing, or is it like a procedure? Speaker 10 01:35:00 I was in a car accident. So it shifted my spine. So some of the areas thatum where like my spine wasruptured or shifted where it was like trying to repair heal itself. The plasma is just something that your blood already produces that helps to heal and strengthen and. Speaker 10 01:35:28 I guess it's useful. But they uh, they uh, Essentially they pull it from your your blood, and then they inject into the area. That makes sense. So it'll assess it better? Right. It's from you. Yep, yep. That's some moreum clean. Speaker 3 01:35:49 Did they all come up here? Uh. When I was at the bottom of the hill man there was just like. Yeah. Speaker 10 01:35:56 So yeah, Sometimes they keep going because there's a lot of work like keep going up the street. It's a lot of like work being done. Just in general, Speaker 3 01:36:04 I'll probably squirrel on that. You're thinking about it, Speaker 10 01:36:07 I know that's fine. So yeah, but yeah so this is first time you're having it done? That's my second okay. I had the other one done January. Speaker 3 01:36:21 So how long does it take for you to like start feeling good again? Speaker 10 01:36:25 A couple weeks. Speaker 10 01:36:29 Yeah. Your body it's gonna be uncomfortable anyway just cause. Your body was. Shocked. So. Yeah, but it's not in the outside substances so, chances of having an issue, refusing and all that good stuff or your body rejecting it. Speaker 3 01:36:55 So Can you work out or anything like that right now? Speaker 10 01:36:58 Not like today, Speaker 3 01:36:59 But like since you've had the accident. Speaker 10 01:37:04 Oh yeah, I've already been working out and stuff. Yeah. Speaker 4 01:37:07 After the surgery, you know? I. Speaker 10 01:37:11 Was probably like a week. You just gotta let your body heal. Yeah. I couldn't even shower for the first day because they said, don't scrub the area where it was hit. And stuff like that. It's got to wait a few days, but it's all letting recover. Speaker 3 01:37:26 Shots and stuff like that. It won't, Speaker 10 01:37:28 Yeah. I didn't get cut open or anything. Okay, yeah, just a couple of everybody's. Speaker 3 01:37:34 Got something going on couple wounds, Speaker 10 01:37:36 A couple battle wounds. Yeah, Speaker 3 01:37:40 I mean man, I've had both of them three done the shutters? Uh- huh. Sheesh. This one reconstructed this one was like hanging on by a limb shit, I'll tell you, like so, I had my shoulder was my my left one first. It was thirty five. And the doctor was my age. And so I wasn't going to do anything, But I literally like at the point where I was putting my like son down in the crib, I could only get to an inch above the crib above the mattress, and I'd have to like throw him right? Like and it's like this ain't right you know so. Speaker 10 01:38:23 Roll off, Speaker 3 01:38:24 So they opened me up and he's like," So I get an MRI." So, what happened was I like jammed something with my with my shoulder. And the guy's like," Oh, that was perfect. Do it one more time." And so go okay. It's easy to say you know laugh at it now. We had a ten thousand pound. Machine up in the air and I was putting the legs underneath it. Right? Oh man. And so I was like, "Good dude, why is this taking so long? Just line it up." And and mind you, I've worked with the guy for like ten years, so we're we're straight with each other, right? And so I'm not trying to be a jerk on it. He goes He goes What are you talking about?" It's like "It's easy. I'll show you." Right? I go boom and he's like "Oh dude, that was perfect. Do one more time. " You know which he was serious, but I had wedged it. So it was done. Speaker 3 01:39:21 Wasn't moving anymore, right? Because, it was a little bit low on the forklift, and it needed to be a little bit higher. So, the second time I do it, I am going up against fifteen thousand pounds, right? And so I cracked the tip of my collarbone. Sheesh! And so but then just turned into everything you know. So when they did an MRI, they're like oh yeah we see some tearing here and stuff like that. What they also saw was that my AC joint, which is your collarbone and the bone that comes like this. It's fractured. No, it's not connected. So and on both of my shoulders, they said, five percent of people have it in one shoulder. Uh one percent of people have it in both, and they didn't find they saw it on the MRI on this one, so they fixed it. What they do is shave both sides of it and it'll regrow. But when they did this one. Speaker 3 01:40:18 They didn't see it, so they didn't touch it. And uh, so fast forward. So we know that going into it. So I come out of surgery, he's like, oh dude, I found two tears. I found all this arthritis. You know, I found a cysts and bone spurs and this this and this. And here is why I am telling you guys this : thirty five. How do I have arthritis and arthritic cysts? Bone spurs in my shoulder. And he goes, "Right here." You've been working out a long time, right? He's like, "I can tell." Like, "Here," right? I said, "Yeah. Since high school." He said, "Yeah. Proper form," right? Nice deep bench presses all the way to the chest, right? And and I'm like yeah of course. He's like yeah your body's not supposed to be doing that. I make so much money off of you guys. Speaker 3 01:41:16 Yeah. What do you say, your shoulder's not designed. So now, like when I work out, it's heartbreaking with my boys. I'm trying to teach them like proper form, but I won't break ninety on anything. So I go here and no more, right? And I don't go above my shoulders anymore. You know? And uh 'cause it's just like they basically once you hit thirty, you know? You should never break nineties. So it stops here. Speaker 3 01:41:46 No, like when you're doing your lateral raises, not enough to here. Just to here. Yeah. You know? Yeah, Speaker 10 01:41:54 You're supposed to kind of break up some of the movements when you're'cause there's other areas of the I guess, if we're talking about the shoulders, Other areas that'll get strengthened or worked out from the from the other half of the ninety degree point. But it's other like so, Speaker 3 01:42:17 Yeah. The muscle will still develop there, right? But your shoulder, your joint is not meant to do that over and over and over again. Speaker 10 01:42:30 I could see how it could be. I could see how it could be damaging, Like overworking it because I think that's i only say that becauseum I've had Japanese trainers. Pretty much, my majority of my collegiate career. And that's all they do is, body movement stuff. But it's not heavy. It's not heavy weights and all that, that most people do when they're just working out and they're just overdoing it. Speaker 3 01:43:00 Oh yeah, I mean, like you get the whole, Speaker 10 01:43:02 Uh and I threw the javelin. So all I did was work my entire body. It's like I know how to sub compartmentalize every single section of the body, because in javelin, you have to use all of it, right? Because you are exerting energy using energy. Speaker 3 01:43:20 But when you are lifting or whatnot, even if you are doing isolation exercises, right? Yeah, You want full range of motion for sure and and you want complete tension throughout that entire thing. So the point where where you go where it breaks that where break that is not good. Right? So stop right before that. But like with your shoulder, that's here. Yeah, for sure. It's not here; it's here, right? So, proper from muscle training, right? Right. You want to go here. Even like when I remember, I remember the day, I can tell you what gym I was at the day. I decided to reset my form because i was I was know, two inches off my chest, and no, i need to come to my chest, right? Speaker 3 01:44:08 And I had to drop. Yeah, I had to drop. You got to drop weight. I think I had to drop like sixty seventy pounds, Speaker 10 01:44:15 Something like that. That's what most people don't want to do, Speaker 3 01:44:18 Right? But see, I've always been a form purist, right? Right. So it's like if I do proper form with proper intensity, proper isolation. That was telling my kid yesterday. How about that? Speaker 10 01:44:29 Like that too. Speaker 3 01:44:30 Hey, you'll get there faster if you do it right. You know all these guys doing this in the gym and it's like. I do like injury prevention. I've always been stronger than anybody. Speaker 10 01:44:42 I've ever gone up against. Worked out with me when we were doing like different stuff for form and everything, being on like everything you are talking about essentially. I do like injury prevention style workouts and endurance lifting. But both of you guys are like. Speaker 3 01:44:56 What coming up on thirty? Thirty six, Speaker 4 01:44:58 Twenty nine, thirty six, twenty nine. All right, yeah. So I mean you are realizing like I got to stretch now right but. Speaker 3 01:45:06 Then you are going to turn forty, and you are like," Man, I just took a step that way." You know. You know. And it's just just the body for sure. Like yeah, body doing the body. Maintain maintain maintain Yeah. You know the one thing I've got is like everybody's like Dale, Speaker 10 01:45:23 Where you can't build muscle guy I drop down on my knees just because and I'll just be sitting talking to him on my knees right here. And now stand up and I'll just do a little cause of what you are saying, you know? I think, like theum, What was that movie where he got to stick the oil in the tin can? Oh, Speaker 3 01:45:44 You are talking about Wizard of Oz. Wizard of Oz. Speaker 10 01:45:47 So that's that's Asian for real. If you don't work those joints, If you don't make sure that your blood flow is good and that you have good range of motion, and you don't need heavy weights to do that. But most most people there in the gym, they want to start throwing up weight, but it's like. That's not what you need to stay healthy. Like, I'll go and I'll do one round and they'll be like one hundred, hundred twenty reps. I am like, that's one round. We got to do three rounds of this. And look, if you want to do or two rounds of it or whatever, Speaker 3 01:46:17 It's good maintenance if you want to do heavy. That's fine, you know. But you get there slowly right? And, you get there at. Speaker 10 01:46:28 Higher risk of injuring yourself because going gonna are going gonna strain something. Because your body's not prepared to even handle this weight, right? Speaker 3 01:46:36 And, that's the thing is like, so because I just started out again with my kids. It's like, oh yeah, I feel here. I am bench pressing one hundred and thirty five pounds. So it feels like it's like, you know, i used to I used to warm up with one hundred and eighty. You know, they're like that How's it feeling?" And I am like, honestly, My chest doesn't feel it at all, but but my elbows like don't you dare go up. You know, so but you kind of got to get there again, and then you can start. Speaker 10 01:47:08 You know, we got to restart over from all the way from scratch. Well, dude, Speaker 3 01:47:14 So we were doing actually i was I was actually really kind of cool. It's like man, I wish I had this kind of stuff when I was a kid because we're doing. So. I am starting them off with the four compound lifts right? So bench press, pull upum deadlift and squat. The deadlift and squat, that's your, you know, all form. All right. So we've got it now. So I gotta say, hey, get you guys these iPads and FaceTime each other but put it on here. I'm like why? Shh. So I got one here now as he's doing the squat and the deadlift and then the other one. Um is right here. So. Now, as you come down, you get to see your side profile right in front of you in order to see form all the way through. Speaker 3 01:47:59 Right, right. You know, and it's like we're going to do this. You know, but as I am doing it, my deadlift ninety five pounds. You know, and they're like so Dan what are these straps for? You know I am like oh well the straps are for my grip. It's, you can't grip ninety five pounds, and like yeah, I am not used them, but guys. Two years ago, I was, you know that's how long. Speaker 3 01:48:28 Last time I was doing deadlift, I was doing four hundred and thirty pounds. You know, it's like you can you know, you can't grip that for you know that whole time. So four hundred and thirty pounds. Why'd why'd you start here? Kill myself at four hundred and thirty pounds right now. Speaker 10 01:48:43 So yeah, all right well, hobbling shit. What's that? Hobbling shit. Yeah out there with the youth. Speaker 3 01:48:56 Well, they still think I am. My oldest is fourteen, and he hasn't grown yet. But he's like I hit him. Two days ago, I hit him. And it was just soft. Oh crap! You know, but he's kind of the same way too where he's shorter than everybody else. I was wrestling. My little one, and my oldest comes in jumps on me. You know, right? Right? It was kind of funny because. Speaker 3 01:49:25 And he had me, you know. Okay. You know, I actually got to pay attention to this. I worked my way up his body to the brain, and I finally get him like pinned. How'd I do it? And he's like, "I don't know." "I had you." And I was like, "No, see, I didn't overpower you did I?" You know? "I used my body to work up your body." Right? It's like you couldn't stop. You know, And then eventually once I got, you know, use my leg to get over your arm, right? It's not power. It's technique. That's this. The other. He's like yeah to be honest dad I got you. And I was like yeah I got him and then. Thought to myself oh crap, am fighting dad. Yeah, not one of your friends, bro, you know, and he's a hundred and ten now. Speaker 3 01:50:23 Like day so. Yeah, Speaker 4 01:50:26 How about some you know I feel like the, the you don't have to exert too much energy. You use judo and like aikido to like. Use their energy against them. That's what Bruce Lee's thing. Yeah, well you don't know this but. Speaker 3 01:50:39 I I grew up training aikido. Oh shit, okay now yeah so, so when I am when I am going through this now aikido, so jujitsu is the kind of lethal form of of aikido or it's, Um, but as I am training with them, here is what's going on. Here is what's you know because they're like, " H ow, do you always turn something into like all of a sudden you are dropping us just by poking us?" It's like levers pressure points everywhere. T here is, yeah, joints aren't supposed to go every direction, right? And any any place that's soft, any place that's soft. So t here is a nerves there and I am gonna get you. You know so your best bet. Speaker 3 01:51:22 Is to hit me when I'm not looking. But yeah, I mean, trying to teach them because that's what I told him. You know, it's my fault. I know actually. But it was like, but dude, I grew up having a friend, all my friends were older, and my you know, and my good friend, you know, six, six years older than me was six five, three, seventy five, and he he's. I mean, obviously he's fat, but he's not fat. It's that guy that just like you know. I don't know how to back down. So when he said who's gonna wrestle me? You know, you don't overpower him. You out think him. So yeah so But if I can get them to start thinking, you know hey this ain't. Speaker 3 01:52:20 Everybody's going to come at you and try to swing and hit you as fast as possible. It ain't about that. Wait, wait, wait, and then you're, Speaker 4 01:52:28 You know. And then you attack. Offense like you can't even be offensive without being defensive first. You have to be defensive first in order to make an offensive move. Speaker 3 01:52:38 But I see it differently. Um. Yeah, that was the best way to say it. No no no Well I have kids, so I get to think about this stuff, right? What I tell him. Because he'd rather be defensive, right? And, what I said is the only time that you are going to be defensive is while you are waiting for your opportunity to attack. Yeah, aggressive defense, right? You when in doubt, attack. You know but don't attack blindly. Speaker 3 01:53:19 And so, you know, the all it's what I found is like the only time I'm ever, You know, there's there's a point where I don't want to engage, but we're but you're engaging me. So yes, um. But that's all keeping distance right? But the only real way to stop you. Yeah. Is to stop you. You know and uh yeah. Speaker 10 01:53:49 So, Sometimes the best time you defend until you see a moment to attack, and then you go. Mhm. Essentially, what's even. Speaker 4 01:53:58 Hey, listen to him get punched twice. You see, he got slapped the first time; he got elbowed. Who's that? This streamer. Yeah, I forgot his name, but this is a streamer; he got both of them. Dudes who are heavyweight lifters, like uh bodybuilders and shit. And like UFC fighters. UFC fighters, But the first one slapped the shit out of him because he was trying to hit on his wife. Then the other one, literally within twenty four hours, elbowed him in the face and knocked him out. He punched him. It looked like a punch, but when they slowed it down, His elbow is what connected because he was like he was within like a foot distance from him. He used the elbow here to knock them out. Speaker 3 01:54:33 But most people, most people don't even know how to punch right. They don't know about snap They want to come out and do this haymaker. Speaker 10 01:54:41 He Was like close up on him and everything. Speaker 4 01:54:43 Yeah, he was like this is like this, and it looked like he punched him, but then also finished it through his elbow. But yeah, Speaker 10 01:54:51 Just the correct way to punch. Like you were saying, most people not a fight so eight. He hit him and he came down on it too. So his elbow was was up kind of because he just because he was like a little bit shorter than them too. So they had me just oh. Speaker 10 01:55:11 Yes, very refreshing. When people get theirs, a lot of people need that and they don't get it. And I like those people that are just like" man, fuck it." That's needed. No, Speaker 3 01:55:30 I get into it with my wife a lot. I am like" that sounds bad going for a flight," going straight for a lot of people that just need it. I've got three boys, yeah right and, You know, you can't be teaching them. It's like no, this is not like yeah, you know. You cross this line. You know, and uh you know not even here like. No violence against violence and like that's just not right. You don't want my kid to punch another kid at school. You make sure that no kids punch other kids. Speaker 3 01:56:11 And you do your job. I don't need to do it. Until then, you know, but that's a whole other thing. Yeah, Speaker 10 01:56:23 Mhm. People people that are nonviolent don't understand why violence is is sometimes needed. Just like talking to a group for them, it's just like you ain't even. It's only one real way to stop like, Bully or anybody for bothering me. So, what I tell my kid, like if you the first person you have to fight for whatever reason, like you make example out of whoever that is. You be hospital, put them in the hospital where they ass out, so that nobody else gets any ideas. It's one and done. But that one you make it count. Hmm? Speaker 3 01:57:10 And and even if you and even if you lose, yeah, even if you lose, everybody goes. Even that guy goes. I am a Pixar loser next time, right? That was not worth it. Maybe we'll leave him alone, right? Right one loser job. But that's even you know my brother's getting crap at work, you know. And, he shows me the email, and it's like You have to respond to this." No no It's like bullies are bullies are bullies, you know. Speaker 3 01:57:40 You gotta make it painful for them. They wanna come at you. They need to know, I mean, you don't need to be disrespectful, you don't need to be. But you do need to return fire and go," Hey." If you're looking for a target, go look over there or something like that. Speaker 10 01:57:57 It's the only way. Otherwise, you're gonna have to deal with it over and over again. And that's right That's ultimately what you don't want. Speaker 3 01:58:05 Right Because they're getting a high from winning. Speaker 1 01:58:06 Yeah Right And you need to take that high away Yeah. Speaker 3 01:58:10 Quick, you know. All right, man. Oh, it was a pleasure. Likewise. Likewise tomorrow. Yeah, oh no, look at the guy that just came back to work. You know? Speaker 3 01:58:39 You know, you could have like vacuumed out the pool for me. You know. Is there more? Yeah, I thought we were done. Speaker 1 01:59:05 Yeah, we don't have any. Speaker 3 01:59:17 Yeah, kind of a pain, so makes us have to find work and stuff like that. The waterproofing can't seems like to be water free for three days. Speaker 1 01:59:47 Thank you. Speaker 1 02:00:50 You said a piece. I was like, "Give me a little piece." I was like, "I was like, 'Alright.'" Give me that one. Alright. Alright. Give me that one. That's it. Oh, I do a bad person. Speaker 1 02:05:19 Thank you. [AI_SUMMARY] No content
