And why does He matter? Walks through exclusivity of Christ's character of God is just loving, sinning grace. Why God allows suffering. The person and work of Jesus most most importantly, Keller does not present God abstractly ; he presents God as revealed in Christ. For fourteen year old, this frames God as personal, not theoretical; loving and holy, not merely powerful; knowable, not distant. Not distant. How do you use it with son? Do you notice certain chapters? Read five and ten pages together. Ask questions like: What does this show us about God? What surprised you? What do you find difficult? What do you find beautiful to those discoveries? Even better companion would be Keller's " T he Prodigal God."
